A presentation that inspires the global team

There’s nothing quite like rallying a large crowd around a common goal or interest. The energy in a full house can be both contagious and inspiring — so long as you get the messaging and delivery right. For Jenni West, Brand and Trade Marketing Manager at FIJI Water, that meant ditching slides at the company’s yearly global sales and marketing meeting.

Meetings that inspire

FIJI Water’s big meeting was a multi-day event in San Diego for the sales and marketing teams, and expectations were through the roof. “We couldn’t show a PowerPoint at this kind of event,” said Jenni. “We needed to upgrade our style to mirror the high production value of the overall meeting.”

As this was the third annual global meeting between the two teams, Jenni knew there would be a lot of repeat information for attendees of the previous events. In order to spice up the messaging, they utilized Prezi’s conversational storytelling format. The outcome was the story of FIJI Water’s water, wine, and eCommerce businesses, as well as their media strategy for the coming year.

“As marketers, our main objective is to engage the sales team in order to get them excited about the plans we have in store. Prezi helped us do exactly that by turning our messaging into a dynamic story rather than just a linear presentation,” she explained. “We were able to bring up specific points, dig into their details, and then go back to the larger picture. It was very memorable and inspirational.”

A presentation that activates the strategy

In the end, Jenni was happy to report that the attendees were confident about sharing FIJI Water’s story with their colleagues and customers. “By delivering our messaging in Prezi, we were able to get the sales team amped about our plans for the next year, which is key,” she said. “You can have solid plans and messaging, but it’s the people who activate the strategy.”

Now that they’ve set the precedent for presentations, the FIJI Water marketing team has collectively agreed to use Prezi anytime they want to really impress their audience with a good story — from basic information to a whole year’s worth of strategic planning. And they can do it without the help of a professional designer.

“As a Brand Manager, I’m a strategist not a designer. I don’t even know how to open Photoshop! But with Prezi, I’m still able to create something beautiful that I’m proud to share.”
