A Day In The Life A typical day is from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm with an hour lunch at any time you would like. When you start your day you finish work from the previous work day if you didn’t finish, then do new work for other clients. Opportunitys In this industry, it is hard for a young person to get a printing job right off. A job as web designer would be a place to start, then work your way through the industry. Necessities To be a designer, you have to have a portfolio of any work you've done, it is probably one of the most important things to have. You should have a digital copy but it is usually good to bring a hard copy as well. To Stay current in software which is definitely a necessity, is by looking at trade magazines, checking for software updates, and by looking design forums.
