Transcript: Horseshoe quarter stack Highlights You will need many quarters. It does not need to be quarters Step 2 Intro Why? Stacking Quarters Continue to stack them and with each one making sure it sticks more and more off the table. Step 1 Choice Obtain coins. Start two piles. Make each quarters stick out off table more and more. Meet in middle. Step 3 Put two quarters close together on flat surface. Make sure they hang off a little bit. You can try it when you get bored I find it fun. It is a cool party trick. You can do this with extra time or when bored. Step 4 Meet the two piles with one final quarter. Finshed product will look like horseshoe hanging off table.

Transcript: Steps Of Making A Quarter! Changes The answer to this question is yes. A lot of machines get used during the process of making a quarter. Steam goes into the air which is pollution to the air because the steam is not fresh. Also, mining is a big part of making a quarter. That is also not very helpful for the environment because miners dig in random places near a mining site which ruins the groung and animals homes. 1. Pour mined copper into a furnace and let it melt. 2. The Copper goes through a machine that cuts out long rectangles. 3. The rectangles of copper now get thinned in between two metal bars. 4. Now the Copper is ready to be shaped so a circular cut out automatically creates circles in the Copper. 5. The circles of Copper get coated with pre-melted nickel. 6. The Caribou design gets stamped on the nickel coated coin. 7. Finally a human checks to see if all quarters look good and the same. Now you have a quarter! In the process of making a quarter there are many changes but we are only naming a few. When the Copper gets melted, you add heat so that makes it a chemical change. Also, when the Caribou design gets stamped on the quarters it is a physical change because with the stamp, the quarter looks different. Another physical change is when the machines cut circles out of the Copper. The shape changes. Quarters are important to everyone whether it's children, teenagers or adults. Quarters have the largest amount of value for a coin under a dollar in Canada. Often when buying items like a large Second Cup Coffee and Tony Luca's CD's is usually not exactly ten dollars. It is usually ten dollars and twenty-five cents. That's when the quarters come in. Instead of using dimes and a nickel you can just use one quarter! It's much more simple and convenient! What is a change? Quarters Does Making a Quarter Cause environmental concerns? A change has lots of definitions because there are many different kinds of changes. There are a few we would like to explain to you. A physical change is when matter changes texture, size, shape or colour. It is called physical change because the physical characteristics are changing which is how something looks. Another change is a chemical change. You usually add heat during this change. A gas is often created during a chemical change. Also a chemical change is usually non-reversible so it can't get changed back to it's original form. Reversible is is the opposite where the matter can be changed back to its original form. Why Are Quarters Important?
