Missing Link wanted a more engaging and immersive way to present on sales calls, virtual events, and training sessions. Find out how Prezi Video helped them stand out and win virtually.
Missing Link is an agency that has been training people to engage their audiences since 1997. While they’ve seen success over the years with PowerPoint, their definition of “engagement” — especially as more organizations embrace remote and hybrid work — shifted dramatically when they discovered Prezi Video.
Sean Fulton, a Presentation Specialist at Missing Link, recounts when founder Rich Mulholland first tried Prezi Video: “It was an overlay on top of your video, and he just thought, ‘This is game changing.’”
“When Prezi came into play, we realized how much we were missing out on,” says Joshua Peterse, another Presentation Specialist at Missing Link. “This was uncharted territory. We never knew that there was even a problem until we saw more.”
No matter how great their PowerPoint presentations were, the agency quickly realized that Prezi Video was on a whole other level, and they shifted their efforts to master the platform for their sales, trainings, and events. “I don’t think seeing people’s faces light up when they see Prezi Video will ever get old,” adds Joshua. “It’s like 100 times more engaging and immersive than anything else. There’s so much more power shifting from presenting outside the slides to presenting inside them.”
One of the areas where Missing Link saw the biggest impact was in their sales calls. “Rich noticed right off the bat that as soon as he opened up that Prezi presentation, people were engaged,” says Sean. “They stopped looking at their phone and they were listening to what he was saying.”
This led to the rest of the team building out a sales toolkit in Prezi to empower their reps during sales pitches and presentations, especially as the pandemic forced everyone online. Now, instead of sharing their screen, the sales team could appear alongside their presentation and jump straight into the most relevant topics for their buyers.
The team saw immediate results and shared success stories with their colleagues around how quickly it changed their audience’s reactions and made buyers eager to continue the conversation and learn more.
One of Missing Link’s primary services is a set of training courses designed to help others master crucial presentation skills in the workplace. Since adopting Prezi Video, they’ve found that it’s now even easier to create effective trainings online.
“When you’re busy presenting and you’ve got your content right next to you on screen, it just feels so natural,” says Sean. “It can be so fun to use as well, the way you can interact with your content. It’s not just a slide now — you’re inside the slide.”
To help others understand just how effective Prezi Video is, Missing Link has even developed a masterclass to help people ramp up with Prezi and create their own stunning presentations and videos.
And this is just the beginning for the team at Missing Link with what they hope to achieve with Prezi Video and immersive presentations. “It’s just pure gold that you can integrate yourself,” says Joshua. “It opens the world up to so many different things you can do.”
