PowerToFly needed to find new ways to engage their virtual audience. Find out how Prezi Video helped them create more immersive, connected marketing events online.
PowerToFly is the fastest-growing diversity recruiting platform today, and helps connect underrepresented talent with forward-thinking companies. Through their free virtual events, PowerToFly has been able to bring decision makers and diverse workers together on a global scale since 2014.
However, once most companies started working virtually, their passionate user base wanted even more out of their virtual events. Lauren Hagerty, the Director of Marketing and Community at PowerToFly, saw an opportunity to engage their (now fully virtual) audience on a deeper and more meaningful level.
As a fully global and remote organization from inception, PowerToFly was no stranger to keeping virtual audiences engaged. But when Lauren’s team turned to Prezi Video, they were able to break out of some of the common constraints in existing technology.
“When we found Prezi Video, it was seamless for our presenter to interact more closely with our audience,” says Lauren. “We were using a presentation, trying to incorporate our presenter, and interact with our audience all in one place. With Prezi Video, we were able to remove the presentation piece altogether, allowing our speakers to engage with their content and our audience directly from a singular presenter view.”
Lauren started using Prezi Video for their community-oriented Chat & Learn events, as well as larger conferences, internal trainings, and promotional videos. And the audience has taken notice: “Everyone thought it was super innovative,” she adds.
For Lauren, one of the unique benefits of virtual events is how many people you can get on screen at one time. There’s something special in the interaction you get with smaller in-person events that, if done right, you can now replicate at scale over video.
“The beautiful thing about Prezi Video is now you are no longer limited to presentation mode, where you have your presentation or your presenter and that’s it. The presenter is now completely immersed into your audience and can truly be part of the conversation,” Lauren explains. “There is a human connection we’ve lost over the last year. The best way to re-engage is to see other people, and Prezi Video makes that very easy, unlike any other tool I’ve seen in this space thus far.”
As Lauren looks ahead at PowerToFly’s upcoming initiatives, she hopes to continue finding more ways to keep their audience engaged, as well as up-level their own branding and internal training. And along the way, she’ll be turning to Prezi Video for that extra layer of interactivity and connectedness.
“I’ve really enjoyed using Prezi Video,” says Lauren. “It’s been a game changer when it comes to my virtual presentations.”
