Leatham makes around 68-74,000 per year. His work is greatly sought after and many companies wish to employ him. Common Floral Arrangment Types Nagerie- a style of floral arranging that translates to thowen in it's when the natrual items areput in to a tall vase Rikka- is a style of floral arranging that translates to "Standing Flower" it represents a natural scene useing seven branches. Shoka- a type of floral arraniging that imbodies the spritial world Flowers used Flowers Used They used many flowers such as : Chrysanthemums Lilies Orchids Camelias Etc... Designs Elements of design Designs They put a lot of emphasis on the lines and negative space. They usually put the flowers and plants as close as they can to how it would accer naturally. The other main influanves for it was the cermonial practice of the Shinto tribe. The other influance is the budisets makeing floral arrangments as offerings. Transcript: 11 different sections 2 construction/arrangements 3 ID tests 6 judging classes 2 of the classes are reasons Constructing Flower Arrangements There are 3 scantron ID tests. Students are given 15 minutes to judge each class. You identify 25 cut flower plants and 25 potted plants and 25 tools. Contests start in February or March and State finals is in May at Cal Poly, SLO. There are 3 to 4 people on the team. Official FFA attire is required It is a national contest. Floral Team! Floriculture! Identifying Plants/Tools Contest Details You are given 5 minutes to judge each class of non reasons. You are given 10 minutes to judge each reasons class and 2 minutes to give each set of reasons. Reasons will be given on 2 of the 6 classes judged. Judging Flower Arrangements/Reasons The Floriculture CDE team requires students to identify plants, judge flower arrangements, and demonstrate skills in flower arranging. Vase Arrangement: You are given 10 minutes to gather materials, and 30 minutes to arrange. Corsage: You are given 10 minutes to gather materials, and 30 minutes to construct a corsage.
