Trading Card Reflection

Transcript: Introduction What does the Representative of the government in the senate do? The representative of the government in the senate (RGS) is the person who is responsible for representing and being a voice for the Senate in the house of commons Reflection on my trading card I think my trading card is well made, it looks like a real trading card and has a good amount of information about the person while being eye catching yet easy to read Listening to people Recently Marc gold who is the Representative of he government in the senate went to a school in qubec and listened to whe students had to say about public policy issues Canada’s Senate Representation Role of the Senate in Canadian Government The Senate serves as the upper chamber of Parliament, tasked with reviewing legislation proposed by the House of Commons. Its members, appointed by the Governor General, advise on policy and ensure regional representation, offering a check on the elected body. How Can students be involved? Trading Card Reflection While Marc Gold plays a big role in the government there is not really that many ways he connects with the people but he does go around to importnt places and is very open to listening to people On the Representative of the govrnment in the senate Questions How does the RGS's role impact civic life in Canada? What are some ways citizens can engage with or influence the RGS's policies? How could you personally contribute to civic life through actions related to the RGS's role? The representative of the government in the senate is responsible fom making sure that the senate and house of commons are making reasonable and fair descisions which are impactful for the laws and regualtions that canadians must abide to. Marc Gold is actually very easy to contact and as a serious yet caring person he is responsible for making descisionsin the senate but will also take the opinonof citizens in account The role of the RGS is not one that many normal people can really speak on or know much about, his role is a very hard one to be in and he has some big shoes to fill so I think that I have no need to contribute to his job as he is doing so well but if I were to it would be about big problems happening recently and ask him about his stance and that actions he will take and if he really will make a difference
