Despite behavior witnessed by classmates and teachers, incidents with the police, Tina’s on again and off again boyfriend of several years walked into her house and shot her while she slept and then killed himself. This bill mandates that all 7th -12th graders in Ohio are to be educated on teen dating violence. It’s just arguing, it’s not violent like adult relationships Only occurs between boys and girls Teens experiencing it usually tell a trusted adult Drugs and alcohol can cause TDV and Sexual assault Some teens like to be abused that’s why they stay in the relationship Sometimes abuse is the only solution. He/she was asking for it. Try to face the truth. Due to feelings for the abuser you may have trouble accepting the fact the relationship is unhealthy. Your safety is priority number one. Don't accept excuses. Be safe: if he or she could get violent, break up in a public place or by phone, text or email. Contact law enforcement.
