Transcript: Barrister Barristers give specialist legal advice to their professional clients, such as legal executives and solicitors. They also represent individuals and organisations in court such as public requests. There are different categories Barristers usually specialise in a particular area of law such as criminal, wills and trusts, patents and environmental legislation. It is hard to give an exact number as for how much Barristers earn a year as a large percentage are self-employed. However Barristers in Many qualified barristers are self-employed so again, salaries can vary, but most earn between £25,000 and £300,000 a year. training can earn round £10,000 a year. The top barristers can earn around £500,000 + per year! Normally Barristers are played with fees and no fixed salary so it depends on the level of cases that the Barrister's clerk offers you. Either Barrister would sit on the desks arguing the case. The judge would sit on the central chair with the jury beside him. People watching the case would sit on those chairs provided. Barristers usually work a basic 39 hour working week, from Monday to Friday, but sometimes, the hours can be a lot longer and barristers and they may be forced to work from home This job relies on strict deadlines so it can be pressurised.
