Transcript: Football By: Brady Kummrow Topic 1 Did you know that American Football is the number one played played in America? If you didn't know that, you probably don’t know all the other amazing facts about American Football. So keep reading to find out. Also you might hear about some famous football players while reading this book In this book you will learn about American Football, different positions, different teams, and different leagues in American Football. Introduction Subtopic 1 Topic 2 New England Patriots- The quarterback for their team is Tom Brady. He is ranked the #2 quarterback in the entire NFL!!! The colors for the team are red, blue and grey/silver. The New England Patriots have won 5 different Super Bowls and have lost 5 different Super Bowls. This proves that the New England Patriots are a really good NFL team. Fun Fact: I have been to 4 New England Patriots games and 1 Super Bowl that they were in (Because they are my favorite NFL team:) Did you know that the New England Patriots won the first ever AFL Pre-Season game ever. Transcript: Rachel Tullis, Tanika Ramsey, Rachael Niven, and Denise O'Neal Playing Football What? What? We observed a football game to see how players and coaches interact with eachother. Observation Question: How does play influence players and how does the coach play a role in the player? As players progress throughout the game, they consider many factors. Who are we playing against? What is the amount of winning that this team has made? What is this team's strengths and weaknesses? All of these things and more causes the players to strategize so they could win the game. The coaches role is to be the top strategizer. He watches how his team plays and pushes them to play their best on the field. Kolb's Learning Cycle Can we recognize Kolb's learning cycle while observing the game ? KOLB'S Evan's football team entered the field motivated and scored first. (doing/ having an experience) Reflective Observation (Reviewing/Reflecting on the experience) Concrete Experience (Doing/ Having an experience) LEARNING CYCLE Active Experimentation (Planning/ Trying out what you have learned) Abstract Conceptualisation (Concluding/Learniung from the experience The team strategizes to score more than the other team. The team continues to score and work as hard with the same motivation which resulting in winning the game wins the game. When the other team finally scored the motivation had to still be there. If they continue to play with the same motivation they will be able to continue to score. Overall Purpose What is the purpose of this project? "I'm stonger than I thought I was, and how to incorporate teamwork into playing" Interview with Coach Lackey Question #1: Who is in charge, both formal and informal? "Formerly would be the head coach and informally depends on many different fascets because you have an offensive and defensive side." Interview with Coach Lackey Question #2: What are your thoughts on empty praise? "I think it works, its a tough love business and you want to always motivate the kids. To be honest there are times when it changes with each kid as the moment changes. Sometimes its toughness and othertimes its a pat on the back." Question #3: Do you believe football is a type of play that encourages learning and development? "Absolutely! it is the greatest teacher of toughness and the ability to improvise when your either above or below another persons skill level." Question #4: How do you minimize the negative and maximize the positive attitudes of the players? "I think you have to have a good foundation with your kids about building a spiritual foundation but more importantly its about being fair and honest with the kids. Its what I like to call a value in everyone in your program." What did we learn from this project? Now What? My deep love for the game of American football came from playing the game with my friends daily and it comes from my father's love for the game Why I chose to research American football? What is American football? American football, referred to as football in the United States and Canada, is a sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. Transcript: FA (football association) history what does the FA do ? charity partners funding The football association provide funding from the football foundation which is the biggest UK sports charity. -The Government introduced the CASC programme in 2002 . CASC allows clubs to access many of the benefits of charity without the added administrative responsibilities. football presentation As well as football funding and the CASC the FA are also partnered with the teenage cancer trust. They contribute by building specialist units with in the NHS hospitals and donating money for trained specialists to help teenagers between the age of 13 and 24. They kicked off the first large donation with £150,000 from the 2012 FA community shield. The FA’s do many things to govern the sport. These include: •Promoting the development of the game amongst a range of age groups , backgrounds and abilities to increase participation of football and quality. This also involves empthesise the availability of the sport to a wider amount of people who are interested in football. •Sanctioning, either directly or indirectly, all matches, leagues and competitions played in England creating and managing a senior men’s, youth and women’s national competitions , and the participation of England national representative teams in international matches. A little history: Was founded in 1863 -Captains , secretaries and representatives that over time all played football with different rules and regulations met together for the purpose of forming an association to set precise codes of rules and regulation for the game.
