Transcript: Pandas are wild animals but you see them not so much against the wild because they are shy and rare and live in dense forests. Where does your animal come from? What does your animal eat? Where does animal live? Presentation Panda The giant panda is threatened. Throughout the world there are only 1600 pandas living in the wild. Is your animal endangered? There are only two types of pandas , which are the giants pandas and little panda. Pandas have only two colors which are black and white. The giant panda is found in the mountainous regions of China. Transcript: ------------ --------------- --------------- -------- PIECING TOGETHER GIANT PANDAS --------- ------------------ --------- THE BAMBOO BEAR Ailuropoda melanoleuca Giant Pandas Decades of struggling with surviving in an adequate habitat, sustaining a substantial population, and acquiring enough assistance from humans. It's more important than you think! The Habitat This is a beautiful view of a panda in a wild home range. The only thing missing is a clear, clean source of water. ENCLOSURE DIFFERENCES Enclosures Enclosures are nothing, compared to a wild panda's home range, but humans have no choice but to downsize or else there won't be enough room. Some enclosures have to hold multiple pandas and are still not the proper size a wild habitat would be. WILL THEY BE ENDANGERED FOREVER? NO! How did it come to this? Where do the funds come from for all of this panda saving? Indeed, just a couple of years ago, giant pandas were moved to the vulnerable status. It really began eons ago... The Earth melted and glaciers made the world flat But we all know. It was really us, and no, not just the U.S. us, but we as humans Is a panda that has been to the taxidermist really a trophy? Who really needs bamboo anyways... right? Ok, we've made some mistakes. Now it's time to get off of our butts and do something about it! Congratulations! The pandas aren't endangered anymore! How did pandas become so famous? Have you ever heard of Panda-monium? Or panda paraphernalia? The real answer is fame. Now who wouldn't love these cuties!? MANKIND IS COMIN' IN CLUTCH Scotland? Really? How dare U.S.? China did what?! Who does it better, Wolong or Chengdu? China set aside millions of acres of land just for giant pandas. The Chinese government even relocated people out of panda territory. Swap rearing. OMGP! Why is swap rearing even a thing? Wow, China has everything figured out. The U.S. has been a great help with giant panda conservation efforts. Um.. no one ever said stop. With more land, now there was space for centers to begin panda breeding Pandas can have multiple cubs, but in the wild will only care for one. So how do humans get two cubs to survive if the mother will only care for one? LONG LIVE GIANT PANDAS Let giant pandas never go extinct! Habitat No more destruction please. Status No more being endangered; that's not a very pleasant title Help There's no such thing as too many pandas. Future I would like for my grand-children's children to enjoy giant pandas too. n
