Colored drawings of animals, dating from about 30,000 to 10,000 B.C., have been found on the walls of caves in southern France and in Spain. Many of these drawings are amazingly well preserved because the caves were sealed up for many centuries. Early people drew the wild animals that they saw all around them. Very crude human figures, drawn in lifelike positions, have been found in Africa and eastern Spain. WHAT IS PAINTING? Transcript: Still Life The last project of the year I wanted to be amazing so while painting this I thought it would be cool to put emphasis on my hair by making it pink while the rest of the portrait is black and white. Also I painted the grid squares used to originally draw out the portrait to add a pattern and make the portrait itself stand out. I liked that there wasnt any value blending needed for this, I like the blotchy colors. This took me about two weeks of class time to finish. It was painted on a 12"x16" canvas board with arcylic paint. Chair Sketch (The Used) I based this off of a song called "Demolition Lovers" I was trying to portray that even the worst cases such as death can be beautiful in someway. Which is why there are roses coming out of a gray heart. I made only some parts colored to emphasize them while adding movement. This took me about 3 hours total. I painted the main picture with watercolor paints and the border is black watercolor underneath gold liquid eyeshadow that was slightly rubbed off. This was also done in a 9"x12" sketchbook. This drawing portays the world as if it was upside down. Therefore the sun is dripping water into the pond that the fish are swimming in. My friend gave me the idea for this and this is how I saw it. It is approximatly 21"x14.5" with the border and is drawn with charcoal. To create this a layer of charcoal was put on the paper then some parts were erased and others were made darker. Demolition Lovers Hannah Evenson Class of 2013 Fundamentals of Painting 2010 Self Portrait This is a sketch for the chair prompt. It is based off of an album cover by The Used. There is no real message behind it that I was trying to communicate, I chose to draw this because I liked the creepy sense it has. The vines behind the creature creates movement as does the mouth eyes and suspenders. This took me a few hours to complete. It is done with pencil in a 9"x12" sketchbook. Fantasy Charcoal Drawing My name is Hannah, I have always liked art and used to draw, paint, color and play with Play-Doh all the time as a kid. In elementary school, anytime there was an art project I tried to do my best on it. I never took out of school art classes but took the opportunity in middle school to take basic art classes. I love music and that is often an inspiration for many of my drawings and ect. This piece includes a candle and vase along with a potted plant and a lamp set up in a still life. There were two still to choose from, I picked this one because I liked the contrast between the bright green and red and the black sheet behind it. I wanted to emphasize the colors even more by making some parts black and white. This made it a little more difficult to get the value right because I was painting different colors than what I was actually seeing. I used the technique of looking at a specific point throughout the picture to get the proportions right. It was painted on a canvas board that was 12"x16" with acrylic paint.

No previous experience is necessary, and if you’ve ever taken an art class, even if it was finger painting in elementary school, then you’ve had an introduction to painting. beautiful painting with a wonderful meaning Fernando Amorsolo is one of The Greatest Filipino Painters of all time. He has done numerous paintings which has catched the fancy of many people. One of his masterpieces is the painting "Ina at Anak". If we translate the title into English, it means Mother and Child. This painting shows to us the love between the mother and child. It shows to us the bond that exists between the two. It is often said that nothing encompasses the love between a mother and a child. From birth, the mother has paintakingly taken care of her child, giving him food, shelter, and clothing. From the long hours of labor in the delivery room to the time the child sets foot in College, the mother is there, supporting and caring for her child. This painting clearly shows how much a mother cares for her child. As seen in the painting, the mother carefully hold her child, making sure that she has a firm hold on him so that he won't be in any danger. A mother will even go to the point of sacrificing her own life for the sake of her child. That is how much a mother loves her child. family bonding INA AT ANAK PAINTING The Mona Lisa is a half-length portrait of a woman by the Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci, which has been acclaimed as "the best known, the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most parodied work of art in the world." flowers painting colors sala painting my painting in A SIMPLE PAINTING MAKES A BEAUTIFUL OUT COME The Different Types of Paint Holding a paintbrush and looking at a bunch of paint to dip into can be fun.
