Transcript: The Application process: Application fees are $40 (Paper & online fees may be waived if student has financial need. Essay questions are not required for OSU applicants, but keep in mind by answering all of the essay questions you are more likely to get a scholarship. Letters of reccomendations are required for all aplicants. This is an easy way for the college to see how other people view you & if you are a good atribute to the college. Task A degree in psychology at OSU requries the student to have a total of 120 credit hours, a minimum overall grade average of 2.00. The specific English requirements and prerequisites for this degree consist of 6 total hours in English 1113 or 1313; & 1213 or 1413 or 3323. Pass/FAIL courses go here. Unfortunately Ok-State does not offer any online classes for Psychology majors. OSU offers both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology. Generally speaking a BA degree focuses on more liberal arts general education courses, a BA also requires a foreign language course. Where as a BS degree will generally focus on more science and mathematics courses. Also a BS degree may require more labs and statistics in general education. GPA Required to graduate For help and advice OSU has a Psychology Club that is dedicated to helping OSU students learn about the field of Psychology and provide help with any assignments or misunderstanding of a topic. This organization was created by students and has a great reputation. Psychology majors can find academic advising at the Arts & Science student success Center in 213 Life Sciences East. This advising organization is ran by the Watson Family Student Academic Success Center. The purpose of Academic Advising is to help students find information, make the most of your classes, learn about opportunities on campus, help you discover your area of interest, and so much more! The following are all the required courses & electives: English Composition & Oral Communication American History & Government Analytical & Quanative Thought Humanities Natural Science Social & Behaviors Sciences Diversity International Dimension Scientific Investigation Controlled Electives Arts & Humanities Natural & Mathematical Sciences I would like to get a masters degree in psychology so i can be a professional counselor to help children and adults with health issues such as,, anziety, depression, PSTD and many more areas. The average psychologist will make around $82,777 in the United States. People with a Master's degree in Psychology work in a variety of settings, for example schools, businesses, community mental health care centers, public and private institutions, and community colleges. Graduates often obtain jobs in teaching, research, or service. Teachers at the Master's level usually work in community colleges and often on a temporary basis at some of the smaller four year colleges. At OSU students are able to test out of some classes based on you test scores, Academic Probation refers to students whose Grad/Ret gpa is less than 2.00 for 31 or more credit hours or 1.70 for 30 or fewer credit hours. To remain eligible to enroll full-time students on probation must receive a 2.00 in a minimum of 12 hours each semester until grad/ret gpa reaches the level indicated. The total amount of applicants from fall 2011 was 9,914 Out of the 9,914 applicants 8,099 (82%) were admitted for the fall of 2011 semester. Out of the 8,099 admitted 3,896 enrolled at Oklahoma State University My monthly student loan will not be payed monthly. I will be on the 10 year repayment plan. Undergraduate Tuition rates: Residence of the state of Oklahoma will pay, $143.45 (per credit hour) Non-Residence of the state of Oklahoma will pay, $521.70 (per credit hour) Other possible expenses such as, labs, books, meal plans, ect.: Books & Supplies: $900.00 Mandatory Academic fees: $8,840.00 OSU Room & Board: $7,650.00 Meal Plan: The Copper Plan includes 7 meals per week, costing $920 per semester. Students grants and loans are both ways to help students afford their college years, but the two are actually very different. Student or college grants are a form of financial aid that is awarded by the government to qualified individuals seeking a college education. Student grants are contingent upon financial need, as determined by the federal aid program. If students find that they are not qualified for a student grant or that the grants you do qualify for only cover a small portion of your total costs. Federal student loans provide assistance in paying for tuition and other fees. The great thing about student loans is that they don’t have to be paid back until you are done with college. Additionally, even when you do have to start paying back the loan, there are several repayment plans to choose from.
