Quality and detail key to good service • Executives, other staff hired only after a meeting with the IndiGo owner (employees far few people, leanest workforce) • The Airline also broke industry standards in turnaround time of plane. III It’s all about customer focus Go local was an idea which connected them with the middle class. Synergies in offering value added services like holiday packages Understood that customers are ready to compromise on food and extra leg space for a lower fare. Targeting segments locally based on the seasons and festivals. Using technology smartly Indigo tried to cut the cost of fuel by using only one engine to taxi the aircraft to the terminal The aircraft was flown on optimum speed which increased the fuel efficiency It also offered no frills on its flights but maintained high quality and provided good travelling experience Intensity of the aircraft used and space between seats also helped them in cutting the cost.
