Free healthcare

Transcript: Free Healthcare in America Free healthcare is very important in many cases because some countries including Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Antigua Barbuda, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan all have free healthcare or at least very low cost. That makes it so people that can afford it can get it for free which helps everybody that cant afford it out. Why would people need free healthcare? Introduction “The American medical system is roundly acknowledged as being broken. Costs are increasing steadily, to the point where many middle-class Americans cannot afford health insurance.” So, many people can’t afford to be treated from something that might be life threatening. The cost for healthcare is rising and it is getting very expensive to afford. Broken healthcare Broken healthcare Many americans want change because the healthcare is “crazy” It is very hard for the lower class to afford. The healthcare is crazy The healthcare is crazy A lot of illegal immigrants flee to countries for free healthcare. “Illegal immigrants flock to this country to get free medical care while citizens who are between jobs often do without.” A lot of people don’t have health insurance. A lot of people don’t have health insurance. “28.5 million people in the United States (8.8% of the US population) do not have health insurance.” That is a problem because if something happens to that person the insurance won’t cover them. Millions don't have healthcare Millions don't have it “They argue that a right to health care would stop medical bankruptcies, improve public health, reduce overall health care spending, help small businesses, and that health care should be an essential government service.” If there was free healthcare then the poorer groups would be able to get treated if anything happens. For the public For the public “Proponents of the right to health care say that no one in one of the richest nations on earth should go without health care.” Everybody should have healthcare no matter if they are wealthy or poor. The Richest nations have it. The Richest nations don't need it “Lowers overall health care costs: The government controls the prices through negotiation and regulation.” It makes it so people don’t have to pay as much as with not free healthcare. Cost Topic 4 “Creates a healthier workforce: Studies show that preventive care reduces the need for expensive emergency room usage.4 Without access to preventive care, 46% of emergency room patients went because they had no other place to go.5 They used the emergency room as their primary care physician. This health care inequality is a big reason for the rising cost of medical care.” It costs less and it is better for people that can’t afford it. Healthier Title “Countries often combine universal health coverage with other systems to introduce competition. These options can lower costs, expand choice, or improve care.” Having universal healthcare is important because it supplies the citizens with superb healthcare. Great with students, workers, family, etc. For example: With games like Jeopardy and Family Feud, players can pick practically any answers. The person who is running the game will have to have all of the answers in order to determine if players are correct or not. However, with a game like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the players only have a choice between answers, A, B, C, or D. Therefore, when the player decides their answer, the person running the game clicks it, and the game will tell them whether they are right or wrong.
