He goes to Hogwarts, school of witchcraft and wizardy and makes one friend, Ronald Weasley, and one enemy, Draco Malfoy. Harry gets sorted into Gryffindor and so does Ron. They save Hermione Granger from a troll on Halloween and make friends with her. They start to suspect Professor Snape, potions master, of working for Voldemort and stealing something that is both valuable and dangerous. They find out that it is the Sorcerors Stone that can turn any metal into gold and make anyone immortal. They go to the forbidden fourth floor to stop him and make Ceberus the three headed guard dog, go to sleep. The move to the next room where they have to find a key that will lead then to the next door. They find brooms and chase a flying key around the room until they catch it. The next room contains a chess set, which is alive. They defeat the chess set, where Ron was knocked unconscious, and move to the next room. The next room contains potions that will either get you back through the flames, move forward, kill you, or only be wine. Hermione finds out the right potion and goes back to help Ron and Harry moves onto the next door. He finds out that Quirrel is actually working for Voldemort and fights him for the stone.
