Great with students, workers, family, etc. For example: With games like Jeopardy and Family Feud, players can pick practically any answers. The person who is running the game will have to have all of the answers in order to determine if players are correct or not. However, with a game like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the players only have a choice between answers, A, B, C, or D. Therefore, when the player decides their answer, the person running the game clicks it, and the game will tell them whether they are right or wrong.
Transcript: Special Teams is made up of Hazardous Materials, Rope Rescue, Water Rescue and Medevac. Items directly related to Special Teams can be taken directly to the Team Coordinator. Senior Firefighters are the first step in the chain of command. They should be familiar with: The department organization, future classes and events, their assigned station and district. If the Sr. FF is not able to resolve the issue we move on to: Volunteer Firefighters and Scene Support Personnel are the foundation of Juneau's emergency response program. Information flow to answer questions or resolve problems is critical to our success. Where does the firefighter or scene support person go for answers? Special Teams On Duty Captains should be notified immediately of items that would affect a stations response. Captains are responsible for their shift and station. They also assist in managing the nearest volunteer stations. The Captain at the nearest career station should be consulted for immediate needs. Occasionally items will be brought up that affect the entire department or are very serious in nature. These items would move up the chain to the Assistant Chief The Station Manager is responsible for their assigned station and the apparatus assigned to that station. They are also there to help coordinate training, assist in making sure minimum requirements are met, obtaining equipment, or planning for items affecting their district. They are also responsible to make sure rosters are done and sent in. Sometimes issues will need to move further up the chain of command. The Fire Marshals are tasked with: inspections, investigations, public education, public relations and fire prevention. Fire Prevention comes in many forms. The Fire Marshals work directly for the Chief and have direct authority over the programs they oversee. They work closely with the Assistant Chiefs as many decisions impact operations. Chain of Command Station Manager EMS Officer Career Fire Fighters Senior Fire Fighter The Fire Chief has overall responsibility of the department's operations. The Chief's main job is ensuring all aspects of the department are running effectively and the needed resources are available. The Chief provides goals and guidance to direct reports to accomplish the goals of the department. Fire Marshals Office EMS makes up over 70% of the department's response. The EMS Officer works directly under not only the Fire Chief's Authority but the Medical Director as well. The EMS Officer has authority to implement programs and quality control programs. They investigate EMS related problems, they can institute remedial training. This position has a wide level of authority. Chain of command = smoother operations Assistant Chiefs Career Firefighters work directly for the Career Captains. All of their needs should start with their assigned Captain. The Captain may direct them to someone else. Occasionally CCFR has special projects occurring. These projects are usually limited in nature. Each project will be assigned a manager. Questions or issues specifically with the project can be taken directly to that manager. Special Projects Capital City Fire Rescue Occasionally some issues will go beyond the Chief's level of authority. For Career staff; there is a formal grievance process by contract. Volunteer staff would have the City Manager involved if the Fire Chief is not able to resolve the issue. Volunteer Firefighter Fire Chief On Duty Captain Assistant Chiefs work directly under the Fire Chief's authority. They have the ability to make decisions affecting the entire department, spend money, resolve complex personnel issues, and modify the department's response. Each A/C is assigned a shift and a volunteer station. They are the person in charge of the entire borough for their 24 hour shift, not just a single district.
Transcript: Arson is the third most common cause of home fires. Arson in commercially operated buildings is the major reason for fire deaths and injuries in those types of properties. Firefighters live at fire stations much of the time. Most fire stations have living rooms, kitchens, and bedrooms. When the alarm sounds, firefighters must respond rapidly. Many firefighters work more than 50 hours a week. Some are on duty for 24 hours straight. Then, they get 48 hours off. They also get another day off on a regular basis. Others work a 10-hour day shift for 3 or 4 days. Then, they work a 14-hour night shift for 3 or 4 nights and have 3 or 4 days off. Fire & Rescue Natural Diasters First Responder ex.
