Transcript: Ear: 16x36 My soybean project consisted of three side by side comparisons of beans with application at R1. These consisted of: 1.) Lokomotive 2.) Control 3.) Katalyst When comparing actual plant samples, the differences were evident. Corn & Soybeans Corn Trials (Katalyst & Lokomotive at 1 gallon/acre) Corn: Foliar feeds applied in corn at V5 are used in the growth of the plant more than grain production. An application at tasseling would be needed to truly perpetuate grain fill. Priaxor at V5 is too early. Additional thoughts: In a good year, kernel count is not changed with the aid of foliar feeds at V5. In these times, genetics plays the leading role in grain count. In these cases, foliar feed nutrients are devoted to growth of the plant instead. I would also venture to say that I would expect a V5 application to play a larger role in grain count during stressed years. Soybean Trial My project consisted of three side by side comparisons in corn, with applications at V5. These consisted of: 1.) Priaxor + Lokomotive 2.) Control 3.) Priaxor + Max N Pact Conclusions Soybeans: Foliar feeds applied at R1 in beans are more likely to devote those added nutrients to both plant growth and pod development. The comparison of random plant samples showed definite results Chose foliar products that our consultants sell and wanted to test Results would be gathered through tissue sampling and the taking of individual samples Initial hypothesis: Treated is better, but how do they match up against eachother? Which will last longer? Which produces more plant growth? Better Yield?
