Transcript: Aerospace is all about airplanes, the sky, rockets and etc. We build rockets like boy scouts but we build expensive ones. We also look at airplanes and how they work. What is Civil Air Patrol? Civil Air Patrol is an Air Force Auxiliary program for kids ages 12-21. CAP does Search and rescue missions,Aerospace,DDR, and more. ELT O' Flights are when you go up in an air plane with a senior member they teach you how to fly and also let you fly. CAP gives people learning experience in Aerospace Education it also teaches people how to fly. If you are in CAP and join the air force you'll start as an E3, which is higher then if you just joined the USAF drill is military movements in formation with other members History of CAP Any Questions? O' Flights ELT Stands for Electronic Locating Transmitter Search and Rescue is something big in CAP it is when an airplane/helicopter crashes and something called an ELT goes off we go and look for it. It takes training and i have my ground team 3. Civil Air Patrol Drill Search and Rescue Aerospace Civil air patrol was formed in the late 30s and was formed by pilots and volunteers who appreciated aviation we sunk Submarines and we also saved downed pilots. Transcript: What is the Civil Air Patrol there is no real straight forward answer to this question without getting into a huge debate about ethics and individual self service compared to community service, and who here wants to have that debate? I know i don't. Civil Air Patrol What is the Civil Air Patrol?? what do they do?? why do they do it? How Could I do that? Civil Air Patrol is the Official auxiliary of the United States Air Force. it is composed of members from age 12 and up. it is mainly made of a cadet program that helps kids of any age grow and excel for the betterment of them selves and their future weather it be military related or not. The Civil Air Patrol has three main missions: Emergency Services (which encompasses disaster relief, searching for missing aircraft & persons); Aerospace Education (which includes internal (CAP members) and external (non-CAP members); and Cadet programs. The Answer is nothing, there is nothing that make you and me different on capability of doing things, So in all honesty the question is not how can you do all these things. the question is why not?! My Life as a Cadet Mercer County Composite Squad 122 executive officer -Civil Air Patrol is a organization based off of how much you putinto the program. -there are many things you can do in your life but the bigger question what do you want from it. -i cannot say that this program will work for you or that it will even be for you, what i can say is that it worked for me. Here Is what i can tell you! i have served in the Civil Air Patrol for 5 years. in those five years i have attend; Basic Cadet Orientation Program, basic encampment, Leader Ship Development Course, and Hawk Mountian Ranger School. i am currently a Cadet Chief Master sergeant along with a First Sergent and my squads EX/O (2nd in command) How Do You Do This? So this is my challenge to you, each and every one of you before me. I want you to think about achieving the same things, but that is'nt good enough for me i want you guys to achieve My Challenge to you The Answer!! Why Does The Civil Air Patrol do these things? I'm not going to say one way or another if you should join this program. what i am going to say is what do you want to do for the rest of your time during school? Do you want to go through the motions of the school life or do you want to do more with your life? I have shown you the door, It is your Decision to open it and take the first step in. Why Did i tell you guys all that information about what i did? Its simple really, i am from the same spot where you guys are in right now. i had classes in this exact room. i ate the same food and learned the same thing as all of you..... so what makes us different for each other?
