Transcript: GOAL! A project worked on by Luke Christopher, Kaylee Corbi, and Dean Brockson Step 2. Generate Concepts Step 3. Design a solution I hope I get a passing grade. A puzzle company has a puzzle cube that they would like to make available to clients with Cerebral Palsy, but they know that in the current state the cube may be difficult for those clients to grip. Our job is to create a version of that puzzle cube for 5-through-10-year-olds with CP. Dean had the job of a multiview sketch in the notebook, Luke created it in the computer, and I am presenting. On November 2, 2016, we began to individually make thumbnail sketches that feature different enhancements that could make puzzle piece 6 easier to grip. The group shared all of their drawings on November 4th and decided that Dean's piece was the most efficient by means of shape, size, and grip. Later on November 7th, we noticed a flaw in the design - the piece had nothing for someone to grip onto. Then, Dean made the change of adding a wide handle to the piece where they could fit about 2 fingers. Over the course of a few days, Luke was able to interpret our new and improved puzzle piece into the program Autodesk 123D Design. He made a piece identical to the original in shape, but 4 times the size. It also has a circular handle as you will see in a moment. Another plan was to change the material to make it more rubbery, but there is no way to find that out with this program. Step 1. Define the Problem Puzzle, Puzzle, Puzzle, inc. Thank you!
