Hangzhou became prosperous after the Grand Canal was built during the Shui Dynasty. Hangzhou has been called" paradise on earth" with its pictursque West Lake and its other famouse sites. The City is filled with gardens, and Hangzhou is a lovely city centered around the famed West Lake. The Forbidden City is located in the center of Beijing, China north of Tiananmen Square. The Forbidden City was a Chinese Imperial Palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of Qing Dynasty from 1420-1912 when the last Pu Yi abdicated. For almost 500 years, the Forbidden City served as a home of the emperor and their housholds. It's surounded with high walls with a measure of 10km and 52m wide. The Forbidden City is measured 961m from north to south. It's measured 753km from east to west and covering with 720,000 square meters. The Forbidden City Hangzhou, paradise on earth Potala Palace, Lhasa Tibet Potala Palace, Lhasa Kazakhstan Hong Kong Modernity Potala Palace is located in Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, China. Its named after the Mountain Potalaka, the mythical abode of Chenresig or Avalokitesvara. The Potala Palace was the chief residence of the Dalai Lama until the 14th Dalai Lama flew to Dharamsala in India during the 1959 Tibetan uprising. Lozang Gyatso( The Great fifth Dalai lama) started the cunstruction of the Potala Palace in 1645. It situated between Drepung and Sera monasteries and the old city of Lhasa. The Bund Landforms Since 1997 Hong Kong is a great place to visit. With Hong Kong has around 7,500 glimmering towers, Hong Kong has more than any other city in the WORLD. Hong Kong is situated on South China coast and enclosed by the Pearl River Delta and South China Sea. Hong Kong is one of the densley populated areas in the WORLD. Hong Kong's population is 95% of chinese and 5% of other groups of people like, Filipino's, Malaysian's, and others. Now,the reserchers beleived that there are 1,000 animals left in the wild! 85% of the wild pandas are residents in Sichuan province. The Bund(embankment) was historically the seat of Shanghai and the most powerful buisnessman during the 1800's and early 1900's. The Bund is a fabulous place to see Shanghai's rich architectural history. The Bund is one of the famouse tourists destination's in Shanghai. The Bund usually refers to the building's and wharves on the section of the road, as well as some of the adjacent areas. Mt. Shanghai Top 10 sites Pearl River The Terracotta Army( Terra Cotta Warriors) and the horses is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang (the first Emperor of China). The Terracotta Warriors was discovered by a local farmer during 1974 when he was digging a well. The Terracotta warriors was buried during 210 B.C by the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty. It's a funerary art buried with the emperor from 210-209 B.C, and the purpose was to protect the emperor in his death. Kunlun Mountains Beijing Mountains Karst Mountains The Karst mountains is located in the south of China in Guanxi province. Its Mountains are famously beutiful in China. The Karst Mountains can be best viewed from Yangshuo a small town outside the major city in Guanxi province, called Guilin. The limestone peaks is poke out of the Li Valley, is like a child had drawn them. The mountain scenery from the Li River graces the 20 Renmimbi note. The reservoir dam was finished during 2006, and its water level quickly reached the MAXIMUM level of the downstream river. The project was completed by the end of 2008. Although the ship lift is still in construction. The Yangtze river is one of the Big Fives sights on any typical China tourist itinerary.
