There is a Bookstore called the gallery bookstore, plenty of people love to read and eat breakfast. There is also a comedy club close by called Comedy sportz. There is a Preschool down the road, several clothing stores. And much like our restaurant having a day scene and a night scene there are also some places that can reflect that, such as Egors dungeon, who advertise as selling condoms, lotions and potions, and right next door to that is a lingerie store. But preying on other businesses customers won't be our only way of bringing people in, or advertisement we plan to put up fliers along each stop of the brown line on the cta, as our place is right next to the Belmont station people would be able to find it easy, we would also put fliers along other train stops, mostly around the stops on the loop. We will also be holding several promotions during our first few days of business, such as handing out business cards good for buy 1 drink get 1 free, of equal or greater value, we will also be doing a group discount, four or more people will entitle you to 5-10% off the entire meal depending on what is ordered. MARKETING: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday ATMOSPHERE: The Limelight has the appearance of a modern café. The color scheme will be multiple shades of green to go along with the name “Limelight”. The restaurant will also have garage style windows creating an open area making the café more appealing to patrons outside. A retractable wall will section off the bar area during the day. During the night as the cafe will cater to the bar scene, toning the lights down drawing attention to the bar. COMPETITION: There are several restaurants in the Immediate area, the operations that will be our biggest competition are, Clarkes, as it is the only other establishment that serves both breakfast and beer, as we plan to do. The other restaurants in the area that would be considered competition are La Bowl, a café, Jasmine and Nudele, an oriental café, Sinbads, a Mediterranean grill, forever yogurt, Gyro-mena, Philly’s best, La tacorea, an Asian Mexican grill, and a place called Banh mi & co, a Vietnamese sandwich eatery. There are also several franchise restaurants, including Subway, Potbelly, Starbucks, dunkin donuts and a Starbucks. All of the restaurants listed are close to our establishment and are immediate competition.
