The original prupose of the company was used for producing handmade hanafunda playing cards. 1978 1978 When people didn't want to play the card games anymore Nintendo was on the verge of going out of bussiness, in order to stay alive, they focused on a new topic: Video Games 1983 1983 On July 15, 1983, The Nintendo Company made their first consule, originallly called "The Nintendo System" but now know as the iconic "Nintendo Entertainment System" which became the home consoule for generations. Showing us our first look of iconic characters like Super Mario and Kirby The NES The NES came with 17 games including Super Mario Brothers, Duck Hunt, Kung Fu, Hogan's Alley, Ice Climbers, Wild Gunman and Wrecking Crew. Nintendo realised the SNES or the "Super Nintendo Entertainment System." realeasing more than 1700 games for multiple countries, the most popular being Donkey Kong Country, Kirby's super star, and Super Mario Kart. September 29, 1996 1996 On the 29th of September the N64 realeased, on of the most popular consoles Nintendo has made with 32.94 million sales in consoles as of april 2022. The most popular games for the N64 were Super Smash Brothers, GoldenEye 007 and of course Super Mario 64 Gamecube 2001 Another one of Nintendo's most popular consoles, The Gamecube, selling 21.74 consoles in 2001, releasing on the 14th of september that same year Some of their most popular games were Mario Sunshine, Metriod Prime, Luigi's mansion, and Mario party 4 & 5. The DS in 2004, Nintendo made the jump at handhelds and created the DS, selling 154. 2 million units today, making it one of Nintendo's best consoles. The popular games on the DS Mario Kart DS, Super Mario 64(DS Edition) and Animal Crossing: Wild Wind. 2004 The Wii 2006 on the 19th of november the Wii came out in 2006, it became a success just after a year of sales it became the seventh highest sold consule. The popular games for the Wii were Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Brothers Brawl and one of the most popular games of all time: Wii Sports. 3DS 2011 After the sucess of the ds, nintendo stuck with the handheld consoles and made the 3Ds, which also was good. Popular games on the 3ds included, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Super Mario 3D land and Mario Maker. Switch In 2017, Nintendo realased another handeld console that can be docked to your TV so you can play on the go or on the screen, the nintendo switch is one of the best consoles to come from the company, selling over 117 Million systems today, popular games from the switch are currently Legand of Zelda: BOTW, Mario Odyssey and Smash Bros. Transcript: Nintendo Presentation The Nintendo History 1889 A Card Company Nintendo, a well established company didn’t always start as a instant success, there were many failures along their long road to where they are now. This little company originally called Nintendo Koppai was in Kyoto, Japan that was founded by Fusajiro Yamauchi on September 23, 1889 they produced handmade Hanafuda plastic playing cards. This plastic playing card company decided to venture out and they eventually struck a deal with Disney to put the famous Disney characters on their playing cards. Hanafuda 1966 The Toy Company In 1966 Nintendo decided to venture into the toy company business and produced toys Ultra Machine Love Tester Extending Arm 1975- 1981 The First Video Games 1975 was a turning point for Nintendo from a small toy factory to the video arcade game industry. 1983 The First Game Console The release of Famicom the first Nintendo game console and other popular game releases like Super Mario Bros, Popeye and King Kong made Nintendo an even more popular family entertainment console The Handhelds Handheld games were first introduced in the 1970’s by notable companies like Mattel, Milton Bradley and Coleco. These handhelds were built with only one game in its system not like our present day ones where we can interchange to the many different game cartilages. Handhelds Game & Watch Game Boy Game Boy Advance/ Micro Handhelds #2 The Game Boy had only one screen and control buttons but later on the Nintendo DS lite came along having two screens, voice regognition, and a touch screen. The DSi was an improved version of the DS lite by how it had improved sound quality, Two cameras (one on the outside and one facing the user). The DSi XL was a larger version of the DSi with its expanded screens. The 3DS is the newest handheld created. It has a three -dimentional effect that is glasses free. The Consoles Nintendo’s first ever game console was the Famicom. They used hard work and new technology to create The Nintendo Entertainment system. The Nintendo Entertainment System Super Nintendo Entertainment In the beginning the first systems were only able to have 2 player games to the much more advanced systems of 4 and more players with the Gamecube. The Game boy had combined features of the NES and Game & Watch in it’s system and was the first to use video cartridges since Milton Bradley’s Microvision console. There where many other handheld game consoles released in the 80’s but the Game Boy and Game Boy colour was an instant success selling over 118.69 million units upon its release in the U.S. The Wii uses infrared detection to sense its players in 3D space not like the original controllers that first came out using wired controllers. Players can go online in the internet, purchase games, checkout the weather, make a avatar of yourself which is called a Mii and many more features. Some parts are made in Veitnam and Japan but most of the parts are put together and made in China. They recycle 80% of their packaging paper and 70% of their waste Employees Employees The work place has offices and a food court everyone works for 7 hours and 45 minutes. The employees get at least 46,000 american dollars or 5,156 yen annually. Its fair if you think about it all the responsibility the CEO has and how much decisions he has to make 59.8% of people are male and the rest are females the most spoke language besides English is French in fact 28% of people are and the most common race are white with 64% of employees are.
