Balloon framing Cement Framing Tree Forms/Rebar How its done Is able to resist clogging Is able to drain water from the walls isn't reliant on filter fabric will not cause structural damage Abstract elements Foundation Footings How is it done? What is it, and how is it used? Otherwise referred to as 'stick framing' due to its stick by stick building method, platform framing has quickly become one of the most common framing methods within North America and is mostly found in one to two story homes and small commercial buildings cement is a fine grained powder that when mixed with water creates a solid. its main use is to lay atop of each block in order for the structure to stand securely. the cement act as glue and binds the blocks together to create the walls of the building. Types of foundation Architect/ designer Soil technician Carpenters Tradesmen Estimators Managers Wood frames are set on the ground in the shape that the worker wants them in, then worked come by and pour concrete in and reinforce with rebar. light steel framing Soil Testing Types of framing Cement is a binding substance that sets and hardens over time and is used in construction all over the world. There are two main types of cement, hydraulic cement and non-hydraulic, hydraulic cement is able to thrive in wet conditions and is more native to areas with weather extremes. Non-hydraulic cement is more inexpensive and used widely in dryer areas such as Arizona. while similar in use, concrete and cement are two very different things, for example; concrete is a mixture of cement and gravel and sand, while cement is fine grained powder mixed with water. Concrete is the actual building material used, while cement is what holds the structure together. Elements of landscaping Weeping tile refers to an underground pipe that is used within drainage systems, they are mostly seen in basements and acts as additional layer of protection against the moisture in the ground, preventing water from getting into the cement A house plan is a set of working or construction drawings, otherwise known as blueprints that allow the reader to see and understand the dimensions and specifications of the home itself. Drawings include dimensions, materials, layouts, installation methods, and techniques How is it done weeping tiles Home Construction Platform framing Landscaping Heavy frame construction What is platform framing? Elevation Steel framing Light frame construction What do they do? Framing is the process of fitting pieces together in order to to give a structure shape and support Related Careers Once the detailed floor plans are done, you'll still need to complete a few more construction drawings. The elevation plans are scaled drawings that show all four sides of the house with a flattened perspective. The elevation plans are used to give the builder insight on what the finished home will look like and the exterior finishing materials. Cement and concrete Pole building Framing there are two different types of foundation, the shallow foundation and the deep foundation, shallow foundations are closer to ground level and can only be used when the soil around the structure is capable of sustaining the load. Deep foundations are used when the soil around the structure is not as capable, the deeper crevasse allows for the structure to grab hold of a

Great with students, workers, family, etc. For example: With games like Jeopardy and Family Feud, players can pick practically any answers. The person who is running the game will have to have all of the answers in order to determine if players are correct or not. However, with a game like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the players only have a choice between answers, A, B, C, or D. Therefore, when the player decides their answer, the person running the game clicks it, and the game will tell them whether they are right or wrong.

Transcript: Conservation of fishing cat Introduction of fishing cat Health: Fishing cats are susceptible to carnivore protoparvovirus, a disease known to kill them. This disease significantly damages the kidney, spleen and gastrointestinal tract of the body. The fishing cat is also vulnerable to diseases and medical conditions such as feline hemoplasmas, transitional cell carcinoma and canine distemper virus. Conservation Threats Wild life Shamim khan 2225138043 Bs Zoology 2022-2026 Since 2016, the fishing cat is listed as a vulnerable species on the IUCN Red List, as the global population is thought to have declined by around 30% in the years 2010–2015; the destruction of wetlands and killings by local people are major threats to the fishing cat.[1] The destruction of wetlands includes increased pollution or conversion for agricultural use and human settlements. The conversion of mangrove forests to commercial aquaculture ponds is a major threat in Andhra Pradesh, and in some places fishing cats are killed. Over-exploitation of local fish stocks and retaliatory killing by local people are also significant threats. The fishing cat is included on CITES Appendix II and protected by national legislation over most of its range. Hunting is prohibited in Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Hunting regulations apply in Laos. In Bhutan, Malaysia, and Vietnam, it is not protected outside protected areas, and no information is known about its legal protections in Cambodia. It is the state animal of the Indian state of West Bengal. Its survival depends on protection of wetlands, prevention of indiscriminate trapping, snaring and poisoning. fishing cat The fishing cat (Prionailurus viverrinus) is a medium-sized wild cat of South and Southeast Asia. It has a deep yellowish-grey fur with black lines and spots. Adults have a head-to-body length of 57 to 78 cm (22 to 31 in), with a 20 to 30 cm (8 to 12 in) long tail. Males are larger than females classification of fishing cat: Scientific classification Domain: Eukaryota Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Mammalia Order: Carnivora Suborder: Feliformia Family: Felidae Subfamily: Felinae Genus: Prionailurus Species: P. viverrinus Characteristics: The fishing cat has a deep yellowish-grey fur with black lines and spots. Two stripes are on the cheeks, and two are above the eyes running to the neck with broken lines on the forehead. It has two rows of spots around the throat. The spots on the shoulder are longitudinal, and those on the sides, limbs and tail are roundish Endangered in Pakistan: In captivity: Fishing cat captive breeding programmes have been established by the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria and the American Association of Zoos and Aquariums. All the fishing cats kept in zoos around the world are listed in the International Studbook of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums.Zoos in Thailand house around 30 individuals; birth rates are not particularly high. They have been placed in captivity as an "insurance population" due to their vulnerable status in the wild Taxonomy Topic: fishing cat Submitted to: Dr Najiya Al-Arifa Behaviour and ecology Phylogeny: Distribution and habitat: The fishing cat lives among dense vegetation near water and is thought to be primarily nocturnal. It is known to be a proficient long-distance and underwater swimmer. Adult males and females without dependent young are solitary. Females have been reported to range over areas of 4 to 6 km2 (1.5 to 2.3 sq mi), while males range over 16 to 22 km2 (6.2 to 8.5 sq mi). It has been observed resting in thick grassy habitats, often near a water body but sometimes far away from them. Adults have been recorded to vocalise "chuckling" sounds The fishing cat is broadly but discontinuously distributed in South and Southeast Asia. It predominantly inhabits densely vegetated wetlands around slow-moving bodies of water like swamps and marshes. These include low-salinity bodies such as oxbow lakes, and high-salinity ones such as tidal creeks and mangrove forests. Along these bodies of water, it conceals itself within the thick cover of forests, scrublands, reed beds, and grasslands. Most records are from lowland areas. Reproduction and development: Wild fishing cats most likely mate during January and February; most kittens in the wild were observed in March and April. However, fishing cats may mate as late as June. In captivity, the gestation period lasts 63–70 days; females give birth to an average of two to three kittens; the litter size can be as small as one to as large as four.

Sandoval, English Iv teacher Nogales high school may 6, 2016 Construction Development During the process of the senior exhibition I gained a great amount of dedication and appreciation for the field of Construction, which is a full-time career I plan to pursue. An examination of home construction will demonstrate construction development, important aspects, and construction management. My mentor helped me in many ways possible as the following: Opportunity to help in Chicanos Por La Causa Dedication Motivation Rules Design and visualization Step-by-step procedures Enhancement of techniques Interpretation of plans and projects Communication skills Questions? Important aspects What I am most proud of was facing reality and being able to put myself in the shoes of thousands of construction laborers and experience what they go through only to provide for their families. Impact on society Saving money and energy Impact on an individual's life. Construction Management Home Construction What is the importance and fundamentals of home construction? Mentor name: Jessica Varela Doing the labor during this project was the most challenging part, but it was well worth it at the end. A house given to low-income families can make a huge difference in their lives. I chose to do my project on home construction because I wanted to experience the labor of thousands of construction workers and know the feeling of providing a house for low-income families. Both community and project hours were throughout Rio Rico, AZ in various construction sites.

Depending on what kind of look you're going and how much you're willing to spend for you will use the different types of siding. Tyvek is a brand of high-density polyethylene fibers. The material is very strong, and it is hard to tear but can easily be cut with scissors or a knife. Vapor can pass through Tyvek but not liquid water, so the material can be used as many different things, including: envelopes, car covers, air and water under house siding, labels, and wristbands Azek is the best replacement for wood trim. It performs well as trim, soffit, beadboard, window and door surrounds. Azek trim comes in just about any shape, size, as any wood trim. It is a celluar PVC product that you work with just like you would with wood. Its heavier than wood trim but its a little bendable making it able to hold more weight. Vinyl siding is made of thick, durable plastic that resists deterioration and repels moisture. However, like other plastic materials, vinyl siding can develop burred edges or cracks if cut with the wrong tools. Vinyl siding installers use hand tools and power tools to cut vinyl siding planks and sheets. Whether you're installing new siding or repairing old work, an understanding of the types of tools used to cut vinyl siding allows you to choose the right ones. Some of the tools are: Tape Measure, Utility Knife, Vinyl Siding Snips, J-Channel Cutter, Unlocking Tool, Snap Lock Punch The cost can vary depending on what siding you use and if you do it yourself. Here are few examples of costs. For vinyl siding the cost per square foot is $2 to $3. Expected house siding cost: $8,000. For wood shingles it is $5 to $7.50 per square foot. Expected house siding cost: $13,000. If you have someone do it for you there is the Labor Costs too. The End!!!!!!! Costs of Siding Tools Used Nails Used It is time to start the siding process after you have completed the roofing. This is when you put the protection onto the side of you house. When its time to start the siding Process Different types of siding. Some of the nails used are: ring shank nails, pneumatic nail gun, splitless nails (general type of nails), Aluminum Nails. You don't want to use galvanized nails on redwood, or cedar, You want to use stainless steel, or you'll end up with black streaks as the nails bleed because of tannic acid in redwood and cedar.
