Fall Leaves!
Transcript: Guided Practice Leaf Sorting! Micro-teach aside... If schedule is fit for this activity, during the fall season, take the students outside, brown sack in hand, and have them collect on their own as many colorful and "pretty" leaves as they want. When the time is up, bring them inside and continue the lesson! Fall Leaves! Have you noticed the leaves changing color during this time? What colors do you see outside? Students will identify and sort fall leaves onto the colorful mats with 100% mastery! Objective: Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf By: Lois Ehlert Closure Come to the board and wait until it is your turn. I will be holding a bucket full of leaves. Grab one. Whisper in my ear what color it is and where it should go! When you are done, please go sit down quietly! Great job! Focus- Video! Can you name the colors of Fall leaves? Raise your hand! Focus... Fall! Instructions: Break up into 3 groups. There are two plates of leaves at each table. There are color palettes to sort the leaves onto. Work together and help each other! When you are done, put your hands in the air and slowly fall into a chair like a leaf falling off a tree!
