Animals have different shaped ears because:
each animal group are adapted to their specific environment and needs. Predators have ears that face forward to allow them to focus on their prey.
Nocturnal animals
Predidtors have different ears
preditors have different ears that face forward to allow them to focus on their prey
hot weather ears
ear shapes also reflect to other addaptions for example
Elephants,foxes and many desert animals. anmals have large ears that help them stay cool in the hot weather
sea animals and flight animals
sea animals and birds dont have outer ears because they will make to much noise from the drag when the animal swims or flies.

ears that can be moved around. The primary purpose of the outer ear is to gather sound waves for hearing.
and animals that live in dim places have larger outer ears because they rely on more on sound than animals that are awake during the day.
