Ecosystems Word Definitions It is a liquid that descends from clouds in rain which forms into rivers, lakes, seas that is essential for most plants and animals. Is the set of relationships between populations of species and between those populations and the non-living (abiotic) it factors in their environment. It is a step-by-step sequence linking organsisms that feed each other that start with a food source such as a producer or detritus, and then continuing with a sequence of consumers. Is the number and variety of amoung living organisms on the earth including variability within and between species and ecosystems also it is the number and variety of organisms found in a specified geographic redion.
Is any water environment from small too large, from pond to ocean in which plants and animals interact with the chemical and physical features of the environment. Is a community of organisms and their environment that occurs on the land masses of continents and Islands Is a factor in an ecosystem created by non-living agents. For example amount of sunlight, temperature, and strenth and direction of wind. Is a factor in an ecosystem created by the presence and roles of other living things.
