Transcript of Osama Bin Laden TOK Presentation

So who did it? -Bush has received threats months before the actual incident, but why hide it?
-Was Bush okay with this happening to the United States?
-Osama Bin Laden does seem like the one responsible for 9.11 but why did Bush not say anything about the early threats.
-Why was Bush so calm while being in the classroom and then being told of what was going on. Osama Bin Laden admits he did it -Four days before the presidential election Bin Laden makes a video admitting that he was responsible for the 9.11 attack
-Osama says he did because of injustices against the Lebanese and Palestinians by Israel and the United States.
-He states "Any state that does not mess with our security, has naturally guaranteed its own security"
So does is this a good reason for him to have done what he dd?
-Was it right to have killed so many people?
-Was it ethical to have committed this tragedy that lead to people jumping off the building?
-Should he be punished?
-If so, what should be the punishment? -The CIA was training the best of the navy seals in North Carolina to be ready for the extermination of Osama Bin Laden
-Navy Seals prepare for the mission
- Head for the not so secret compound of Bin Laden in Pakistan
- Capture or kill all in path
- Osama Bin Laden is to be killed if armed or captured if not armed Obama gives the okay for the elimination of Osama Bin Laden -9.11
-What was 9.11?
-Two planes attacking
the World Trade Center
-Osama already known as a
a terrorist was blamed
for this incident.
-But was it really him who had plotted the entire plan
-People start to think that it
was actually Bush who did it not Osama
-Others say that they were both in it so both should be blamed for it. Why was his assassination made? Osama Bin Laden
1957-2011 Navy Seals get to Pakistan unnoticed -Navy seals make it to Pakistan on 4 helicopters
-But when they were trying to land on of them crashed and landed on the side of the compound
-The plan was to start from the top and head down, but at the moment plans changed
-Navy Seals move up and find Osama Bin Laden and without hesitation two bullets hit Osama Bin Laden one in the shoulder and the other in the head
And so was it ethically correct to have shoot Bin Laden even though the
plan was to capture him if he was not armed.

Is it ever fair to be able to attack or kill someone when they are not able to
protect themselves?

Wouldn't that Navy Seal who killed Bin Laden be as bad for killing someone
who wasn't able to defend themselves? -His body was thrown down into the middle of the Arabian Ocean
It's said that he was thrown with the sharks to be eaten.

-His death was humiliated, made fun of, no one in the US felt bad instead they threw parties and kept yelling USA! USA! So what happened to Osama Bin Laden Is it ethical to throw someone in the middle of the ocean to be eaten by sharks? -Ethically, no. ( my own perspective)
-To most of the people in the United States it was humorous
Is it wrong to make fun of someones death? To laugh when they're being
dropped into the ocean.

Do you think those same Americans would be laughing if they had a relative who was dropped into the middle of an ocean?

I don't think so. Why throw Bin Laden's body in the middle of the ocean? In what ways did the Americans express their emotions for this incident?
They were celebrating as if they had no emotions towards his death.

How were the people in Pakistan reacting to Bin Laden's death?
They were angry about the way the US threw his body in with the sharks.

They said "America's happiness will soon turn into sadness!"
But to the US this didn't seem to mind, for now. Did this all happen just to make history? -Obama and Bush will automatically make history
-Obama because he is now known as the president who got rid of a most wanted man.
-Some say that it was all Bush's fault that they began to have problems with Pakistan
-Osama Bin Laden also made history because of 9.11 and when he admitted it on a video it proved what he was trying to do.
Don't mess with someones security if you don't want to have
incidents to happen to your country like 9.11 THE END http://resources0.news.com.au/images/2011/05/11/1226053/706284-bin-laden-carl-vinson.jpg
