Transcript of For eTwinners from 2aC (scuola B. di Betto, Perugia)

Hi eTwinners...
Now you have to find documents

Looking for documents
Internet is a huge source of documents.

But...

How can we select "good sites" for our project search?
2. Select right documents
Choose documents with clear and updated scientific references.
2. Select right documents
But you can select news from divulgative journals coming from
Nature
and
Science
.
3. What to do?
1. Go to "http://www.lescienze.it/"
2. Select at least three articles related to your project.
3. Verify that all come from "
Nature
" or "
Science
".
4. Fill out a table with the "title" and the "url" of the selected articles.
5. Show me everything.
6. After that, go on alone using keywords!

GOOD LUCK!!!
Manuela
1. Use right keywords
We have to know what we are looking for...

Try to use different related keywords taking inspiration from wiki.
Choosing something specific
Example:
"climate" is generic,
"global climate change" is specific,
"global climate change" and "global warming" is even more specific.
Example 1
A paper about alcohol dependence

http://www.lescienze.it/news/2013/11/26/news/mutazione_gene_alcolismo_recettori_gaba_canali_ionici-1904294/
Example 2
A paper about forest...

http://www.lescienze.it/news/2013/11/15/news/mappa_aree_foresta_cambiamenti_disboscamenti-1888231/
http://www.nature.com/
https://www.sciencemag.org/

Scientific news from
Nature
and
Science
journals are always "very good quality" science.

But it could be difficult for you...
