Students received an educational Gmail Account for school use. This account gave many opportunities for communication and collaboration between teacher and student and student to student.
Students Created, Collaborated, Shared & Published original works using the following:

Google Presentations

Mobile Devices in the Classroom
QR Code Scavenger Hunt
Students used their mobile devices (cell phones, ipods and ipads) to complete a QR Code Scavenger Hunt.
Working in teams they went around the building scanning hidden, posted QR codes, once scanned, each QR code brought up a challenge question.
Once they found all the challenge questions they returned to the computer lab.
They researched the questions online.
The team members created a googledoc that they worked on collaboratively.
The first team to email me their completed Challenge won a prize.

Students created a Flyer advertising the computer class with a QR Code that linked to their Digital Portfolio Wiki.
Cloud Based Presentations
Prezi is a cloud-based presentation software and storytelling tool for exploring and sharing ideas upon a virtual canvas,
as seen here
. The students created a presentation on what they would change in the world and why.
