Literary Devices
personification :
This is the sound that love makes

Theme
The theme is "love". It's about how strong love can be and how it can affect a person that's in love.
The Sound That Love Makes
Can you hear it?
This is the sound that love makes
The fingerprint of a snowflake
It paints a picture of you

Can you feel it? This is the flavor of sunshine
The way your body it moves mine
I can taste you in the coolest raindrops

One hand in the other unlike any other hand I know
I’m seeing the sun in all the darkest grey skies

This time I’m going in for the sweetest kill
I’m gonna eat till I get my fill
So delicious are my lips on your skin

One hand in the other unlike any other hand I know
I’m seeing the sun in all the darkest grey skies

Sweetness,
this is the rhythm of thunder
From up above or down under
I love you

Why I chose this song
"I’m seeing the sun in all the darkest grey skies"
I think she is implying that when she's feeling upset(grey skies) her lover makes her happy/see the positive(the sun).
I chose the song
"The Sound That Love Makes"
because I think it has some great literary devices and I just like the song in general. Also, this song makes me feel different emotions, which made it a fun song to analyze.
metaphor :
The fingerprint of a snowflake
metaphor :
this is the rhythm of thunde
r
alliteration :
I’m seeing the sun in all the darkest grey skies
this literary device is giving love, the human attribute of making noise
this literary device is comparing a fingerprint to the marks of snowflakes.
comparing the rhythm of a drum for example to the power of thunder.
this verse is describing that through tough times, the artist was always able to find the positive in the situation.
Also, the last verse is
"I love you",
and that is a big hint that the theme is "love".
