A reminder for teachers is to know what you have imagined the class to be like

What is a lesson plan and why create it?
"I can" statements
I CAN statements break down lofty objectives into learning targets students can read and understand.
They are simple sentences designed by either a teacher or a department and they are based on the learning objectives of a curriculum.
They can help students be responsible for their learning and be more reflective of their own work.
Examples: "I can summarize a story, drama, or poem."
Picking a schedule is a major component in planning for a year of lessons.
Before you can start creating a lesson plan for each day you need to look at a few different aspects:
Look at the year long academic schedule including off days, when the semesters and quarters end, and account for snow days or other unexpected occurrences.
Look at the curriculum for the course and see what lessons need to be accomplished and what the kids need to learn.
Think about what order you would like to work in
Look at how the lessons would flow best. Now, even in this you have a few different options to choose from:
To teach in the order of the book that you may have chosen to use.
You can choose to construct a plan that you think flows nicely within those lessons.
Once you have looked at these different factors in planning I would suggest making goals with deadlines for yourself that you think will let the class accomplish what they need to without having too much work for too little time.
The worst thing you can do is not be working at a fast enough pace and not realizing that until the end and then having to cram and set the children up for failure.
Teachers should come up with a lesson plan so that they know exactly what they are doing in a certain day.
Without a goal things may not end up getting done and goals may not be met.
If the kids are not taught what they need to to go onto the next grade that can cause problems
A lesson plan is an organized schedule or lessons/events (made by a teacher) that will occur in a classroom.
If a teacher does not look ahead and plan out what he or she needs the students to learn there may be times when both the students and teachers are lost and that will cause issues as well
Teachers tend to get things across to the students better when they are more organized
First and foremost, lesson plans must be flexible, prepared, fun and focused on children’s learning.
Your daily goal should be to plan your activities and lessons to achieve social, academic, and linguistic demands for an elementary student.*
Make math and science fun to learn by teaching with a positive attitude.
A lesson plan reflects your personality as a teacher.

Types of questions teachers ask while lesson planning:
What are the main focus points of the lesson?
Do the students have any pre-existing knowledge of the subject?
What sequence of activities will help the students learn best?
What should I spend the most time on?
Why are some things more important to include than others?
Intro to student teachers
"A student teacher, pupil-teacher (historical)
or prac teacher (practice teacher) is a college, university or graduate student who is teaching under the supervision of a certified teacher in order to qualify for a degree in education." *
Why do student teachers need to write lesson plans?
To help themselves develop their own teaching style
To help them better control classes.
Also, a good lesson plan needs several times of revise and practice. It’s good for student teachers start learning how to write a good lesson plan and practice it as soon as possible.
Example of an outline
Grade of students: 、、、、、 (elementary students)
Subject: language arts
Description: leading students notice the using of metaphor by reading series of metaphor in the books, motivate creativity and critical thinking from aspects of their lives and readings
Objective: teaching students the use of metaphor; students will be able to identify and use metaphor through practice
Materials: required books, paper, pencil, color pens
1. Tell students the story we are reading today
2. Share feelings after listening the story, share notices of using of metaphors as bad situation is nightmare, face could be like apple
3. Motivate students to think of other possible metaphors
4. Divide students in groups to practice use metaphors of different objects
5. Conclude what we have learned and what we have thought and discussed
After activity, take notes about how the students respond to the subject: Does the subject interest them? Do they correspond well after knowing metaphor? How are their creative and critical thinking? Is group discussing working for them?
Is their any procedure students feel boring, does the process of whole lecture have correct timing and scheduling, ... etc.
Subject: language art
Grade: elementary students
Description: teaching students various ways to describe a thing, such as metaphor, exaggeration, ... etc.
Objective: Helping students to achieve the ability to identify different kinds of language art, helping students to achieve the ability to use different kinds of language art through series of practices
Material: Books contain different kinds of language art, required lecture books, assort of paper/pens
Schedule: 9/23 introduction to language art
9/25 reading examples of language art, discussion of what could be language art
9/27 practice of using language art
9/29 introduction to specific kinds of language art
9/31 reading required book page .. for definition of specific language art
For Student Elementary Teachers
meaning of the career
Student teachers are the student who are learning to become a teacher in the future. Student teachers need to learn about lesson plan writing as soon as possible because it’s a required skill for becoming a teacher.
I would recommend breaking up the year into semesters or quarters and setting a goal for the end of each
Plan tests within that amount of time and make sure to teach the kids what material will be on that test
Plan for an extra day on some lessons that the kids could struggle with in case they are not understanding because you don’t want to move on leaving the kids confused.
