04.07 Slavery: Assessment
Transcript of 04.07 Slavery: Assessment
this specific song is a reflection on time,slavery and all the things associated with them.
2 - This song makes me think on how life is going and that all things originate from one another. Which gave me the idea that all things happen for a reason. Questions 10 & 12 Questions 7 & 9 9 - The message of the song is that Bob Marley is saying everyone is human and no religion can offer what is already there, and that is a human heart, and or human soul. "Redemption Song" - Bob Marley Questions 4 & 9 4 - The lyrics that stand out the most to me are "
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
None but ourselves can free our minds.
Have no fear for atomic energy,
'Cause none of them can stop the time" because is shows an imporing amount of emotion. 7 - The intended audience for this song is humans because in the song Bob Marley speaks of children,slavery, and those things conclude about humans. 10. If I could ask the Bob Marley question about the lyrics, the question that i would ask him would be " What or who gave you this idea to make such a magnificent song like this. The reason would be to get a better understanding of him and his thoughts on redemption . 12 - The value of music with historical/political/social messages is that it allows you to spread your message much efficiently and that message goes through historical,political, and social messages. 9 - The message of this song still valid todays because even in today's world everyone seeks redemption. by Jonathan Martinez
