historical details and putting that information together into well-written articles.

She is creative, responsible, and requires
very little supervision.

She would be a valuable addition
in any workplace setting. Nancy Sorrells 2005 Dreams Archive I like to joke with my colleagues that the
first time Elyse came into my office, my hair blew back. This is partly because of her energy...partly because she is so organized and efficient, partly because she demonstrates real leadership potential, and partly because she is do deeply curious about so many things...

[Her exhibition review article] was so good that I asked for a copy of it to use as a sample for future students.... While I often worry about...my undergraduates, I knoW I never have to worry with Elyse. Internship Adviser Dr. Joan M. Walker 2006 Field School Supervisor Elyse expresses herself well...has an excellent ability for learning...is remarkable self-disciplined...her intellectual ability is excellent, and she is extremely motivated.

She sets high goals for herself, and works very hard to meet these self-imposed goals. Dr. Gabrielle Lanier 2007 Professor & Adviser " " " " " " Elyse was a great joy to have on staff, and remarkably capable in every respect. See is incredibly efficient, well versed in a wide range of topics, and fearless when it comes to taking on new projects.

I...can recommend her with the greatest of confidence, knowing that she will work on the highest level for others, as she did for me. Elyse has my unqualified endorsement. Sumpter Priddy lll 2008 Internship Adviser " " Attic of things I used to do Soap box Niceties are all fair and fine; but nothing truly great can be accomplished without a great amount of humor.

Intentions, strategy, style. The most important approach for every aspect of a project is with design.

Innovation requires solution-oriented optimism. Greatness requires a skeptic mind and a constant eye on tangible and intangible legacies. Find the balance.

Passionate troubleshooting generalists will trump bored specialists every time.

The only way to be successful is mandatory inter-departmental collaboration.

Find out the goals and parameters from the boss and kick then them out of the room. All work is teamwork.

It isn’t easy to collect and can be tricky to analyze, but data is the second most important asset any organization possesses.

Informed, audience-minded decision making is critical. We are not our audience, so our opinion and feelings don’t matter.

It’s not enough to have enough money, you must deploy resources strategically and obey a goal-oriented budget.

Don’t “believe” in tradition. Repeat success until you get somewhere. Happy Exploring! To continue to find jobs that blend fundraising and communications To run a nonprofit organization. Differently. To find a way for museum staffers to earn fair compensation. Degrees James Madison U.
