Michelle Robinson-Obama was born on January 17, 1964, on the South Side of Chicago to Fraser and Marian Robinson.
Father: City pump operator and Democratic precinct captain.
Mother: Secretary and later a stay at home mom.
She lived with her family in a one bedroom apartment, on the second floor of a small house.
Shared a bedroom with her brother, Craig.
Described as a close knit family.
