Force is a push or pull. Force can change speed, directions, start, or stop.
He is throwing the ball
and gravity is forcing the
ball to the ground.
Acceleration, gravity and weight is forcing the roller coaster to stay on the track.
She is using her strength to push the buggy forward.

Friction is a force that slows motion of a moving object. Friction occurs when two objects rub against each other. You will find friction everywhere that objects come into contact with each other.
He is using friction by rubbing the match against the lighter strip causing it to catch fire.
When she is rubbing her hands together she is creating friction.
If an object is moving, it will keep moving until something stops it. If an object is not moving, it will just sit there until something comes along to move it. "An object in motion will continue to stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. An object at rest will continue to stay at rest unless acted upon by an outside force.
A simple machine consisting of a bar that pivots on a fixed support. A lever is a stiff bar that rests on a support called a fulcrum which lifts or moves loads.

The bumper cars are traveling towards each other. When they hit each other they will stop moving this is an example of inertia.
When the cart on the roller coaster starts down the track it will continue to move until the cart is stopped.
When the truck driver presses on the breaks to slow down the force caused the stone to move forward.
A seesaw is a bar on a fulcrum. When force is applied by pushing down on one end of the lever it causes the other end of seesaw to go up.
A loaded wheel barrow acts as a lever when someone pushes it.
When force is put on the hammer it acts as a lever causing the nail to come out of the post.
An inclined plane is used to move a heavy load. An inclined plane is a slanting surface connecting a lower level to a higher level.
The inclined plane helps the man move the large object with less force.
The inclined plane was used to load the small
car onto the large truck.
A wedge is two inclined planes put together to form a sharp edge. The wedge is a simple machine. A wedge is an object with which cuts material apart. Forks, knives, and nails are a few types of wedges.
He is pushing the boxes up the inclined plane it takes more distance but he is using less force.
The two inclined come together to cut the object.
The original use for pulleys was to make it easier to lift heavy objects. The pulley is a simple machine made with a wheel and a rope.Pulleys can be found in many places to help make jobs easier.
A screw is an inclined plane wrapped around a pole. A screw is used to hold things together.The screw has two parts.
The inclined plane is the thread that wraps around the the cylinder or long rod.
The end of a lightbulb has a screw so that the lightbulb can attach to a socket.
The pulley is used to lift the elevator up and down.
This example shows the effort the man is using to lift the load with the use of a pulley. When you pull on one side of the pulley, the wheel turns and the load moves.
The cord or rope fits into the wheel and one end of the rope is attached to the load as seen in this picture.

Wheel and Axle
A wheel with a rod, through its center lifts or moves loads. The axle is a rod that goes through the wheel. The axle lets the wheel turn. A wheel and axle helps to move objects. The faster the axle turns, the faster the wheel spins.
The faster the axles turns, the faster the wheels spins on this bike.
The bottle is a screw because there is an inclined plane raped around the top of the bottle.
The screw is a serial stair case .It holds things together.
The wheel goes through the center of the axle.Creating a circular turn.
A wheel and axle is a bar passing through the center of the wheel.
