the Gum boot is now used world wide in school dances and plays
Gumboot is a dance made for gold mines in South Africa

Mines used the sound as codes to say something to another person a short distance away.
It was used to communicate in the mines because there was no talking or they would get punished by their boss.
The purpose of the dance
Gum booting is still used today in Africa.
Many men gumboot for people who visit Africa
