Transcript of The Effects of Social Media on Society

What effect does social media have on the public?
By: Natalie Perkowski, Sami Shapiro, Lily Sackman & Aidan Parker
Social Media Addiction
Studies have been done that show that about 65% of people in America log on to Facebook at least once every day. At least 40% log on multiple times a day.
Sites like Facebook and Twitter are used to relieve boredom, and "likes" and comments are seen as rewards which makes it very hard to quit using these websites.
