Intellectual ideas of Interwar years Oswald Sprengler: Was a german historian and philosopher whose interest also included math, science, and art. Gertrude Stein: American/ jewish writer, poet and art collecter who spent most of her life in france. Hemingway: American author and journalist. The great Gatsby: is a novel written by Ernest Hemingway. the sun also rises: 1926 a novel written by Ernest Hemingway. Franz kafka: was culturally influential german-language. Was a business man. surrealism: best known for the visual artworks and writings and of the group members. James Joyce: was an irish novelist and poet, considerd to be one of the most influential writers. TS Eliot: American born english poet. Igor Stravinsky: was a Russian born, naturalized french, later naturalized American composer. Jazz: muscial tradition and mucis that originated at the begining of the 20th century. Picasso: spanish painter. Gandhi- He was the most prominent political and spiritual leader during the movement for india's indipendence in the 20th century cubism: auant garde movement, pioneered by pablo picasso and george Braque. Dali- was a spanish catalan surrealist. dadaiasm: cultural movent that began in Zurich, Switzerland. movies/radio: mas cultural showing everyone the same information at the sametime. Bolsheviks lenin: ortodox marxist, arguing for establishment of a vanguard party.
