An event that rocked the world WOODSTOCK During Woodstock Woodstock defined a generation, promoted the idea of peace and love, human family, creative expression, and the importance of community. After Woodstock & Its Impact The impact The 1960's were the most violent and controversial decades in America's history. Some of the biggest issues of the time was that of the rights of African American, women, and the counterculture invasion. 1960's America Before Woodstock Bethel, New york was invaded by an estimated 500,000 people. The enjoyed the music of some the greatest rock legends of all time, and the company of each other. On August 15, 1969- August 17, 1969
