Burns in Mouth and Throat Toxic Corrosive Sulfuric Acid can cause severe irritations and burns which may result in permanent scarring. Many acid burns can cause Death. Sulfuric Acid Mouth Burns Acid Burns Capable of causing injury or death. Do not expose skin, eyes or clothing while in contact with Sulfuric Acid, use safety materials. The longer this chemical is on your skin the more dangerous its effect will be. Lab Safety Materials Physical Properties Properties of
Sulfuric Acid: Odourless Viscous Explosive Miscible with Water Releases Heat Why is Sulfuric Acid Used: Sulfuric Acid is one of the most important industrial chemicals.
It has widely varied uses and plays some part in the production of nearly all manufactured goods. Various companies depend someway or another on Sulfuric Acid. In the 18th century Sulfuric Acid had become essential for the manufacture of soda. Plus, it is an active chemical, it dissolves many metals and reacts very strongly with many substances. Uses of Sulfuric Acid: used in fertilizers
detergents
dyes drugs
explosives
refining of petroleum and much more... fertilizers

protection is necessary! Green Vitriol *Sulfuric Acid was in demand in the 1790's for making Sodium Carbonate. *Famous Scientists like Johann Glauber, Joshua
Ward, Peregrine Phillips and more had made many changes (improvements) to the Sulfuric Acid that was originally made by John Helmont. *Sulfuric Acid was in high demand after for the manufacture of synthetic (artificial) organic dyes. John Van

Also known as battery acid, electrolyte acid, hydrogen sulfate, oil of vitriol and etc. Sulfuric Acid is mainly used in the manufacture of phosphate and ammonium sulfate fertilizers. In my opinion, I believe that Sulfuric Acid is a disadvantage more to our community than it is an advantage because again there are many careless people that would use this acid for their personal needs (like taking revenge on people). I have heard many stories in the newspaper and from my parents how acid is not good for our society and how it should be banned for us regular people that really don't need it. Plus, Sulfuric Acid creates environmental disadvantages because it causes acid rain.
Therefore, I strongly believe that Sulfuric Acid should not be used in everyday life.
