Transcript of Portal Introduction

Portal Introduction The Portal is the school's learning platform. It is a gateway to ICT resources like email, user area and learning resources myplace.gdst.net This is the Portal homepage which we call MyPlace.
You can configure what appears on your MyPlace. If you click on My Profile, you can add personal information
(Take care what information you provide though and be aware of the Privacy settings My files allows you to download and upload files from and to your user area.
(Better just to use my computer in school though) My SchoolPlace is where most of the learning resources are stored Most subject areas have at least some resources, but we are still at the early stages so a little patience might be needed! This is the VLE. You'll find a link from My SchoolPlace This is what one of the courses in the VLE looks like - each has various resources and learning activities. Some you can get straight into; some your teacher has to enrol you on. This is the address you'll need to type in if you're accessing the Portal from home
