What is Peru Known For?
Aside from Machu Picchu, Peru known for other various things. Peru is famous for traditional cooking, Andean Music, and the liquor called Pisco(right). Peru has resources of silver, copper, and gold. Peru also has beautiful paintings, and pottery.

There are many different tourist landmarks in Peru. One that you may know of is Machu Picchu (right). Some other landmarks include Iquitos, Santa Catalina Monastery, Plaza De Armas and Colca Canyon.

Foods Eaten In Peru
A popular food eaten in Peru is Ceviche. Ceviche is raw fish marinated in citrus juice. The acid in the fruit cooks the fish, giving it a delicate flavour. This dish is usually spiced with red onion and aji pepper, and served with sweet potato.
Three Interesting Facts About Peru
Peru is the only country that when spelled in English, can be typed on a single row of a normal keyboard.
Peru is one of the only four letter countries with a four letter capital. ( Peru, Lima )
Peru is the only country with places that begin with a double-Q. Examples are Qquea, Qquecquerisca, and Qquero, all these places are in Peru.
