soil erosion and FOREST CONSERVATION
PROTECTION FROM INSECTS AND PESTS
THE PEOPLE WHO CONTROL THE PESTS IN THE FORESTS ARE KNOWN AS PEST CONTROLLERS. THESE PEOPLE GO AROUND IN THE FOREST TO FIND ANY PESTS ON TREES. THESE PESTS SLOWLY EAT UP THE TREE WHICH CAN CAUSE SERIOUS LOSS IN THE FORREST.THEY CARRY:
DIFFERENT CHEMICALS FOR TYPES OF PESTS
TEST TUBES TO TEST THE PESTS AT THE LAB
FOREST CONSERVATION
THERE ARE 5 MAIN WAYS TO CONSERVE OOR FORESTS WHICH ARE:-
->
PLANNED HARVESTING
->
AFFORESTATION
->
PROTECTION FROM FIRE
->
PROTECTION FROM INSECTS

AND PESTS
->
PROTECTION FROM

OVERGRAZING
planned harvesting means to cut down only a few trees in an area.this will help as:-
the uncut trees will help prevent soil erosion
the seeds present on the trees should be planted again to maintain a balance in the forest
this way the forest cover is maintained
PROTECTION FROM FIRE
PLANNED HARVESTING
TO PROTECT THE FOREST FROM FIRE, THE MEASURES TAKEN ARE:
A ROAD IS BUILT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FOREST SO THAT IF ONE PART IS ON FIRE THE OTHER DOES NOT CATCH FIRE.
SWEEPING IS DONE TO CLEAR THE DEAD LEAVES
FIRE STATIONS ARE BUILT NEAR TO THE FORESTS
ARTIFICIAL RESERVOIRS ARE MADE IF NATURAL RESERVOIRS ARE NOT THERE
THE FOREST INSPECTED PER MONTH FOR FINDING ANY PROBLEMS IN THE FOREST
PROTECTION FROM OVERGRAZING
OVERGRAZING CAN HAPPEN DUE TO POORLY MAINTAINED AGRICULTURE, OR IF SOME TYPE OF ANIMAL IS RESTRICTED TO GO TO OTHER AREAS.
THIS CAUSES THE DECLINE OF THE FOREST AS PLANTS DO NOT GET THE RIGT AMOUNT OF TIME TO REGROW
THANK YOU
