morally acceptable as long as it is consensual
Pro-choice argument; believes in individual rights to make decisions APATHETIC History (AOK)
ancient Greece had the first documented accounts of homosexuality
Older man (erastes) would be with a younger man (eromenos)
the objective was to achieve mutual improvement, each doing their best to excel to be worthy of the other
sperm was regarded as the source of knowledge, to pass wisdom between both parties NO Science (AOK)
longstanding consensus of research and clinical literature say it is a normal and positive variant of human sexuality
after extensive research, scientists have generally concluded that sexual orientation is not a choice and is usually decided in early childhood at latest, if one is not born with it already NO YES APATHETIC WOKs used:
Perception ANALYSIS Ssempa feels highly disturbed by the behaviours of homosexuals and tries to provoke similar emotions in his audience through the use of emotion
He tries to appeal to his audience's emotions by mentioning the children of Uganda, to evoke sympathy, pathos and concern for Uganda's future with homosexuals in the community. Ssempa utilizes strong language to incite disgust among his audiences
"Anal Licking", "Fisting", "eat da poo poo of our children", etc.
These emotive and aggressive terms trigger certain responses from his audience, and shape their reality of the situation Ssempa perceives homosexuality to be "sick" and "deviant"
He perceives that sexual acts mentioned in his speech are directly associated with homosexuality
Additionally, he is utilising sensual cues in an attempt to align his audience's perspective with his
The photos and videos of homosexual acts are used to trigger disgust and contempt
His passionate speech was loud, perhaps to seem more authoritative and convincing Ssempa uses inductive reasoning to justify his discrimination

P1: Homosexuals engage in particular sexual acts
P2: These sexual acts involve socially unacceptable behaviours like the consumption of human egestion
P3: Homosexuals are socially unacceptable in general, and if allowed to exist and flourish, will corrupt the children of Uganda with their ways
C: Homosexuals can therefore be discriminated against, since they are social deviants and pose a threat to society's future EMOTION LANGUAGE REASON PERCEPTION Ethics (AOK)
some believe it is morally wrong to be homosexual because it is not the socially acceptable way of being
social norms shape our ethical evaluations, and these are inculcated at a young age "Despite almost a century of psychoanalytic and psychological speculation, there is no substantive evidence to support the suggestion that the nature of parenting or early childhood experiences play any role in the formation of a person's fundamental heterosexual or homosexual orientation. It would appear that sexual orientation is biological in nature, determined by a complex interplay of genetic factors and the early uterine environment. Sexual orientation is therefore not a choice." The Royal College of Psychiatrists, 2007 My closest friend is bisexual, but he leans more towards homosexuality
He is a Christian and functions normally just like all of us (goes to a JC, is a HSP scholar as well)
Strong advocate of LGBT rights PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT Really now? Psychology (AOK)
Homosexuals are not as deviant as portrayed or thought to be, and are in fact quite normal
Essentially human beings, hence entitled to fundamental rights of free will and choice I am apathetic, more or less.
Do what you want, unless it causes harm to others
It's up to you to do what you want to do
It's none of my business PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT BIBLIOGRAPHY Royal College of Psychiatrists: Submission to the Church of England's Listening Exercise on Human Sexuality
