Percy Jackson Archetype
Transcript of Percy Jackson Archetype
By: Daniel Hibbard
Perseus "Percy" Jackson is the Son of Poseidon and is the main hero of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Percy goes on many quests to save Olympus and the whole greek world. He fights many monsters (and even a couple of gods) and is accompanied by his best friends Annabeth Chase, Daughter of Athena, and Grover Underwood, the Satyr. Percy defeats the Titan Lord Kronos and saves Olympus.
Percy Jackson and The Olympians
Chiron is the activities director at Camp Half-Blood and has trained heroes for many centuries and is the centaur (half man , half horse) son of the Titan Lord Kronos. Chiron trains and teaches Percy everything there is to know for a half-blood to survive. Chiron prepares Percy for his quests to defeat Chiron's own father Kronos.
The Threshold Guardian
The Olympian God(s)
Poseidon is the god of the sea and is also Percy's father. Poseidon aids Percy through his journey as much as he can, and although he knows Percy's fate he is not allowed to tell Percy it for the ancient laws forbid it.
The Side Changer
Hades is the older brother of Poseidon and Zeus although he does not have a seat in Olympus because he is the ruler and god of the Underworld. Hades is mostly a devilish god and accused Percy of stealing his Helm of Darkness. Hades constantly insisted on sending monsters after Percy and his friends. Once the Titan war started Hades wanted nothing to do with it and decided to let Olympus fall until he realized he needs to help his corrupted family or his throne will also be taken.
The Oracle of Delphi was created by Apollo the god of Prophecies and the Spirit of Delphi resides inside a body for generations. The oracle appears at a time of a quest and will give a prophecy for the quest to set a demigod out on their journey.
Luke Castellan, Son of Hermes, was a long time camper at Camp Half-Blood and known as a friend and leader to many at the camp. When Percy arrived to camp Luke took him in and was his "friend". But little did Percy know that before he set out on his journey Luke had already set a trap for him to fail. Luke had stolen Zeus' master bolt and Zeus naturally blamed his brothers son. Luke has despised the gods and has been working for the Titan King, Kronos.
Kronos is the Titan King and is the god of time. Kronos has planned to overthrow the gods on Olympus by attacking their seats of power. While the gods fight the Titan giant Typhon, Kronos (in Luke's body) attempts to attack Olympus. Percy and his friends fight Kronos and bring Luke back to conscience because only he knows how to stop Kronos.
