Cryus Hall McCormick
In 1831, Cyrus McCormick invents the mechanical reaper.
In 1848, Cyrus made McCormick Harvesting Machine Company in Illinois.
In 1886, Case becomes the largest worldwide manufacturer of steam engines.
1911 Case releases the first gasoline tractor - Model 30-60.
1939 International Harvester introduces the second generation Farmall (the Letter Series), on August 9, 1939.
1985 The new organization - Case IH - becomes the second largest farm equipment manufacturer.
1988 Case IH introduces the Magnum tractor – the first tractor to be combined with International Harvester and Case.
1999 Case IH becomes part of CNH (Case New Holland).
2003 The 100,000th Magnum tractor rolls off the line in Wisconsin.
2008 Farmall tractors celebrate 85th anniversary with more than 30 models made.
2012 Case IH celebrates 25 years of Magnum tractor leadership.
2013 Farmall tractors celebrate the 90th anniversary of their development.
Born on February 15th, 1809 in Virginia
Married to Nancy Fowler on January 26th, 1858
Cryus died on May 13th, 1884, in Illinois at the age of 75
