Push Factors: Holocaust, forced labor. Push and pull factors Some intervening obstalces were deaths along the way of migrating, food shortages, and distance. Some opportunities were they got to get away from the raids, and if they were lucky they got away from Nazis that tried to capture them and kept migrating. Intervening Obstacles or opportunities They persectued alot of Gypsies back then, but today people still have distrust with Roma Gypsies because they are known for stealing and living off social welfare. The Gypsies of Europe were registered, sterilized, ghettoized, and then deported to concentration camps by the Nazis. Almost 250,000 to 500,000 Gypsies were murdered during the Holocaust. How the Gypsies migration relates to the gravity model is how they went migrated west to get away from all of the fighting and raids but didn't really get anywhere becasue of the holocaust. Gravity Model The important thing about the Gypsies migration was it was to get away from the fighting, because of all of the raids and battles happening near them.
