Helen Keller Helen Keller was born on June 27, 1880 in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Helen Keller at a young age was told by a doctor that she wouldn't be able to see or hear ever again. Though Helen Keller couldn't see or hear as her life went on she learned to do many things. Helen Keller was very curious an wanted something for her life, and she achieved that with a help of her teacher that spent hours with her studying. Little by little "she express herself through the manual alphabet and to read Braille."Helen was very determined to learn that led her to achievement. she is determined, enthusiastic, and
a committed person. Determined -Helen Keller even though she was blind, and deaf she never let her disabilities get in the way of accomplishing many great things in life. For example graduating with honors in 1904.
Also writing number of very well-received books, including The Story of My life, Optimism,The World I Live In,The Song of the Stone Wall, Out of the Dark, My Religion, and Midstream: My Later Life. Determined -Hellen Keller knew that if she wanted something in life she would have to fight and not let anything in her way. She said, "I knew my own mind well enough and always had my own way, even if I had to fight tooth and nail for it."She fought to live a productive life, to speak, and show others that anyone with differences can live a meaningful life. Enthusiastic Helen Keller with enthusiasm had a different style of learning that she understood. This led her to learn how to express herself through the manual alphabet and to read Braille. The more she was curious in learning new things the more she was enthusiastic. How she used enthusiasm taught her how to speak many languages like French, German, and English in the Horace Mann School for the Deaf. It led her to discover water from what it was to what it meant. Enthusiastic Helen Keller Helen Keller spent hours with her teacher Anne Sullivan learning. She said "As cool stream gushed over one hand she spelled the word water first slowly then rapidly."Helen Keller learned in a different way but at the end understood which brought that enthusiasm. This showed enthusiasm because of the way her curiousness led her to learn new things and helped her understand."I knew w-a-t-e-r meant the cool something flowing over my hand." Committed Helen Keller devoted her life to trying
to help the blind, deaf, and handicapped
individuals. Helen Keller was committed to create an education and a future for people with these kind of differences.
