Main Idea, Setting, Theme
The main idea of Obsidian would be that humans have been living amongst aliens for many years, without even knowing. They look exactly like us and so far only the government knows about them. They've been told not to get to attached to a human. So what happens if they do?
Ketterman, West Virginia
Petersburg: Town close by that has most of the necessary stores used by the residents of Ketterman.
Florida: Where Katy used to live.
Luxen: A planet in another galaxy. Was made unhabitable by a war between the Luxen and the Arum
The theme of this book would be that typical girl meets boy with a scifi twist. So a love, mystery, and scifi themed book.
Favorite Quotes (=
“Beautiful face. Beautiful body. Horrible attitude. It was the holy trinity of hot boys.”
“I didn't eat all of it."
"Oh, so it ate itself?" Dee shrieked so loudly I thought I heard the rafters in the ceiling shake. "Did the spoon ate it? Oh wait, I know. The carton ate it."
"Actually, I think the freezer ate it.” -Daemon Black
“I thought people in small towns were supposed to be nice, not act like the son of Satan.”
- Katy Swartz
“I bet you think things through, right? Accept candy
from strangers and get into vans with a sign that reads free Kittens?”
“I don't think he meant to kiss me," I said finally.
"What? Did he slip and fall on your mouth? Those things are known to happen.”
I like these quotes because most of them made me smile. A few were adorable and some were completley true.
The Amazing Jennifer L. Armentrout ^_^
Yes I would recomend this book to anyone. Especially if you love to laugh. This book kept me on my toes for most of it.
The love-hate between the main characters was hilarious.
Personally I think this book is for girls but it doesn't really matter.
This book caught my attention beacuse of its beautiful cover.
But after reading the summary, well I was hooked.
It was like any typical young adult romance novel but then again it was different.
I mean this was the one book in which I could completely connect with the main character
- Katy - because (don't tell anyone but) I LOVE to read.
I mean I have quite a passion for reading, just like her.
What can I say about him?
He's a perfect jerk.
Make any sense?
If it doesn't then read the book and you will understand EVERYTHING.
Anyways I really do suggest you read it.
It does have some "language".
And if you do end up reading it do tell me how it is(=
Thank you for bearing with me through my mess of a project.
